Before I go to bed...

Wanted to shout from the mountain....but I'll contain myself to a general confession...

*had lots of fun tonight at the RiverBend Festival!

*got to see Lonestar in concert there...

**big smile** got to see an old flame at the festival...got hugs, caresses and possibilities of meeting at a later time! WooHoo!!!

*tickled that daughter even gave her slight approval of him!!

*made a wish in the long tunnel holding my breath....crossing fingers it'll cum true!!

**secretly hoping that I won't have to spend as much time alone as I have been....

CANCER takes another good person from us

My Uncle Jack has always been my favorite relitive because he was funny and brightened the place whenever he arrived, He was also a genuine caring person who never had a bad word to say about anyone.He is also the apple of my cousin Kim's eye as regardless of how busy he was we knew we could count on him to be there for us.
He hasn't had thing go right for him as they lost their son very soon after his birth,his wife and love of his life died many years ago and my cousin has MS and her ability to cope sometime drains him with worry but has always been a happy person.
He was respected by all who knew him, he was the clerk of the course at several horse racing tracks around Sydney Australia and many jockeys owe their well being to him as he often was called on to save them on run away horses.He was also the class clown with fake noses,funny hats etc to liven things up.
The reason for this post is he died from cancer today after months of failed treatment and I guess he never knew what happened at the end as they had him on so much medication for the pain.I am torn up more because of my poor health meaning I couldn't be there to say goodbye and be there for my cuz Kim in her time of need.

Gil... I'm so sorry for your loss sweetheart. And for the fact that you couldn't be with your cousin.

No matter how much relief it is for the departed, death is always hard to accept.

Today your uncle died, and my grandson was born.

One new life replacing another. Daniel was born 10.20am.. what time did your uncle pass away?

Gil- I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers
not only for your loss but that you will be able to find comfort and that your cousin will be ok as well.

LB- Congratulations on the birth of your grandson. My son Daniel was born,June 15, the day that my best friends aunt died, she was 80 or 90 yrs old. And my best friend always told me that that is the way of keeping the earth populated. As one person dies, another is born.

I am sorry first, that I have not had the pleasure of meeting you yet. And secondly, that you and your family have had to suffer the terrible loss of your uncle. Thanks for giving us such a wonderful review of him for us to be able to appreciate him some. I feel your pain, for my father is currently in his last days on earth as well. Details are unimportant, but suffice it to say, my mom is going through very rough times now. My sis was able to go and help out by transporting him back from my brother's place in Florida, where mom and dad were visiting when he bacame so ill.
I know he has a very short time left. And I am also not able to go to see him for lack of funds. So my heart goes out to you and your family. Please know that we here at Lit. will keep you in our minds and hearts during this time of need.
