In a really stupid way ... I stepped on the cat tower ... yes the tower the cats play on and scratch on ... the base was a full 1 inch higher than the surrounding floor ... when you have talent, you just have talent ...

hands that encircle your neck ... thumbs gliding, pressing along the spine ... slowly, softly, insistently ... rubbing along both sides ... muscles that resist, then slowly relax ... very slowly ... enjoying every insistent pressure ...

and once the muscles finally give way ... soft pressure of fingertips that cover your scalp until the cares of the day fade ... a moment of timelessness and joy ...
