Yesterday was our first national holiday of truth and reconcilliation for the residential school victims and survivors across canada. Instead of going to a gathering in Kamloops and showing support for the victims, he went to Tofino on holiday.
He got points for legalizing weed but lost it all yesterday for snubbing aboriginal leaders' request he attend.
What a douchebag.

Did Trudeau have any political reason for that decision? Are there factions he might have unendurably provoked if he had gone to Kamloops? Or was he simply insensitive to the importance of his presence there?

He was formally requested to attend by the organizers. Nothing was political in nature about the event.

He's lucky there was just an election or he would be toast.
