To most of your guys (who post in the Blurt thread)'s and even my credit, we don't encourge harassment (aka consistent, over a period of time // to be differentiated from bad comments or behaviors, since some people confuse the two).
Even if we otherwise like or engage with the person who does it or we dislike the target.

But there still are a handful of posters who tend to encourage the alts or trolling, either by quoting and giggling with them or stating that the target totally deserves to be trolled.

As I said, people's definition of what constitutes a troll varies.

For example: Some Blurt posters call Ann a troll, whereas I and others have seen no evidence of trolling or mean comments coming from her.
--- She never harassed or followed around any poster. Just some one off shit - stirring threads and posts, which generally lack malice and are intelligent and witty. Since I joined the forum 2 years ago, don't know about prior to that.

By the same token, the same Blurt posters either turn a blind eye on or approve of (the target is a "racist" so totally deserves it) of Rob/ Luk & alts.' trolling.
---Whereas I call what they're doing: following people around every day, for years with all sorts of stupid and malicious slurs harassment and bullying.

That is interesting backstory. I also agree that there should be a line drawn at harassment, but it might also come down to the legality of how much Laurel and Manu are able to police. She could ban an IP address, but determined folks could get around that pretty easily. It is also, ultimately, a judgement call (though in some cases it's clearly black and white). Intervening at all could open them up to culpability for a failure to do more. Talking out of my ass, really. Question: has there ever been a female poster who's crossed the boundary and threatened someone's real work or family life? Granted, it's likely a bunch of things have happened behind the scenes that none of us will ever know about, but I'm just seeing a pattern of angry, jilted men making lit a hostile place for women.

I was just thinking the other day that it's kind of a bummer that I can't really post pictures anymore. I've just crossed too many of the crazies. How sad is that?? The best part of this place has always been the occasional flash of titty, and shitty men are ruining it for all of us.

ie : In "A fair country: Telling truths about Canada": J.R.Saul -rightfully- argues for the need to recognize and incorporate the indigenous cultural background of the country and make it mainstream too.
The downside is that he also advocates for mainly oral- based teaching in certain Institutions (as traditionally done by indigenuous communities in the past), which is outdated.

My political opponents, who normally backed every single thing miles did (Ishmael, Vetteman, AJ) sat on their hands because they realized miles was radioactive.
