In the 20s and 30s the kids who starred in the OUR GANG and LITTLE RASCAL shorts were required to speak their lines in French, Spanish, and German for the foreign versions of their films. Dubbing didn't exist then.

Cream of tartar, potassium hydrogen tartrate, is a fine white powder that is a byproduct of the winemaking process as the powder forms inside wine barrels during fermentation.

Trivia, is the name of a goddess in Roman Mythology (don't ask me about her super-powers... something lame I bet).

Wrong. Thanks for playing.

The trivia (singular trivium) are three lower Artes Liberales, i.e. grammar, logic and rhetoric. These were the topics of basic education, foundational to the quadrivia of higher education, and hence the material of basic education and an important building block for all undergraduates. The word trivia was also used to describe a place where three roads met in Ancient Rome.

You're right. But, I'm also right.

Trivia, the goddess of crossroads.

I knew her superpowers were something trivial.

Ooooh... we should do a match the heathen god thread... All the gods have their equivalent in a different culture.

Recidiva, why don't you word it pretty and set it up.

I looked up trivia etymology and you looked up trivia mythology.

I refuse to admit that you are right or that I learned anything interesting.

Troll trivia will obviously have different rules than real trivia.

I believe trolls are allowed to make up their version of events and no amount of evidence is accepted as proof.

So...

Wrong!

Oh yeah. Well Obama is a poopy face!

:nana:

You name a god and his powers and then the next person names the equivalent in a different culture.

I would suck at that.

Unless they're pretend like Cazic Thule and Mithaniel Marr, then I know all about them.

Well, technically they're all pretend, but that's a minor detail.

Theres only one rule for TROLL TRIVIA: The post must be complete and utter bullshit AND yet seem convincing and plausible and even likely.

Awww damn!

I don't know the gamer gods (I'm assuming you are referring to some game). Oh well. Trivia! Or Trolling.

:D

Harrison Ford was a carpenter on the set of "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark" when they were doing auditions. They wanted someone to read lines with the actors auditioning and they pulled him out of the crowd. He did such a good job that they hired him.

Also, the scene where he shoots the swordsman was improv. There was a whole fight planned, but he had a cold that day, and he jokingly just shot the guy and it was so much better that they kept it.

Unfortunately (or fortunately for my ignorance) I suppose that is technically a game and belongs in the Playground.

Yes, in this case the Gods of the Everquest series.

In 2011, people in Rajasthan were in panic when a report leaked out stating that environmentalists has found large amounts of oxygenated hydrogen in their groundwater system. The simple folks calmed down when the good people at Pepsicola explained to them that oxygenated hydrogen was just another name for the chemical compound H2O, also known as water.
