Troll threads are a dime a dozen. They're perennial and are really just there for people to vent a little frustration. After three pages, there's really not a great deal more to said on the topic of trolls, their existence, and their tendency to annoy authors; indeed, I'd argue that there wasn't much to be said in the first place. We're just recycling the thread now that it's served it original purpose.

What's curious is that this seems to bother you.

Oh, honestly, Sweetie, the only one acting like a high schooler around here is you. You've attacked everyone you can on every thread you join--at least the ones I've read. I'm sorry your life is so miserable, but do you have to take it out on everybody around you?

no one has left any thing really ugly as feedback for my very first story...yet. But I have gotten one love-email calling me a "Stupid Bitch" and declaring that I am destroying my race (funny that)...all over an interracial story.

I am cringing in expectation of getting some real whoppers now that I've switched genres to the story in mid-stream.

Seriously, after the insult soaked through to the bone, I actually got a laugh out of it. Someone was passionate enough about the story to wasted 30 seconds of their life to send me hate-mail. Hell, I wasted less time than that dismissing them.

You can never keep trolls down. Just think of it this way, at least the troll was affected by your story enough to post a comment; and if the comment is stupid enough, then most folks think "well, consider the source." I know I do.

On your title for this, "At least you aren't getting hate emails from scary rednecks!" I'd say that "sure I am." My stalkers and trolls are obviously trailer trash who talk as they live. Scary, though, no, not really.

And, no, you can't keep trolls down--but you can keep them talking and revealing themselves as they are--and revealing how much anger and bitterness they have pent up in whatever lives they can manage.

ICAM. That's the scary part. I really feel "unclean" reading some of that anger and bitterness. Can you imagine how sad their lives are? It makes me shiver at the thought. Oh well, keep on keepin' on.

"Riding crop" has an interesting ring to it. Which door was that behind? (I have a riding crop story or two here--but for that matter, I have gangbang ones here too. I try to keep these to the story section though.)

One thing that I will guarantee you is that I will always respond on a thread to my stalkers and trolls at least three notches more civil than the nastiness and personal abuse that they throw at me. The evidence is already abundantly there.
