The handwriting on the wall became clear after the "progressives" swerved down this path.
 
It's always been their path and every time that path has been followed, it has petered out and each society/culture, in turn, returned to the fork in the road and chose the other path until it, too, came upon a fork and the less fortunate, lazy and ruthlessly ambitious began to clamor anew for the other tine...

... the one that they eternally believe leads to a silver spoon for their childrens' mouths.



The name/nomenclature/language may change, but the driving impetus remains the same: something for nothing...

Here are several examples of proof that America is united against Trump and his MAGAts:

1) We just rejected their support of Putin's invasion of Ukraine. Overwhelming support in both houses.

2) We rejected overturning Roe v Wade in every vote that has taken place since Trump let the Federalist Society take over the Supreme Court.

3) You can't get laid by women or men. Boorish and weapon-obsessed MAGAts are not attractive.

I disagree: it is inherent to humanity. Find your people. If not an ethno-culture, it's your gang, cult, clique, or social class.

In other words, there is going to be some form of tribalism... so we have to pick a good one.

I don't think either ideology or religion can really do it.

I haven't thought about that for years, but yes, this is what ideological tribalism looks like.
