OOC: I need one female role. Just jump in I guess.
IC:
Name: Unknown, Alias known as Wolfram
Age: Mid Twenties.
Hair Color: Dark Brown
Eyes: Originally Blue, but due to nuero-implants, they have turned a cloudy gray.
Hieght: 6'-3"
Appearance: Usually wearing a suit, Wolfram is a half synthetic, his arms from the elbow down are artificial, and are made of extremely tough metals (Tungsten/Titanium Hybrid) His ribs are also made of the same metal compound, the reason for this is from a steel mill automation accident.

Wolfram sat in a café, in the middle of Cyprus, the northern hemispheres trading capital. To most, he looked like an average guy, with Augments (The proper term for Synthetic prosthetics). What most didn't know, was that Wolfram was the head of large portion of the Triad, the one company that had a strong monopoly on the rare minerals market. He controlled, and oversaw all industrial operations. His main workforce for the sub-terrain mining super-giant Verner I was on leave, a two week period of which his two hundred workers were given time to go to the surface, and spend time with their families, friends and to spend the money that they collected from payroll.

He sat at the café, watching people go by. He missed being in the mines, his implants that helped him use his Augments had a side affect, of which made him a social misfit, and ill-tempered. This being said, he was a ruthless buisnessman, and his firm stance on what the prices for his minerals being sold kept him in buisness.

He still longed of course for companionship. Though he couldn't worry about that perhaps, he had to get back to the Triad building to negotiate a large shipment of artificial Platinum sale. As he he was leaving, he abruptly collided with someone. "I'm sorry.." He said, as he glanced at the stranger.

OOC: If your interested, just post :) first come, first serve

This is an OOC guide to the Triad Story.

The Triad: The Triad is a large company, one that mainly sells high priced minerals. It is run by three 'heads' of the company. Ashlynn is the founder, she ran several steel mills for her father, over time, her wealth was stacking up, so she expanded. Elias: Is the Triad PMC head, PMC means Private Military Company. Wolfram: Heads all Mining, and Mill work. Though he has several hundred overseers working at mills, He makes the final decision in what happens in the mills. Verner however, is his main mine, a sub-terrain 'quarry' which very rare minerals are exported. Only two hundred workers work in Verner, all of which have been with Wolfram from the start.

Augments: Furthering in prosthetic fields led to the fields apex, Augmentation. Any limb can now be replaced by a Augment, and the physical therapy is very little, due to nuero implants.

Nuero-Implants: Implants are synthetic chips that attach to the brains Medulla. Through implants, the human brain can be rewired, for example: Workers can get implants for sleep, making the brain only require half the amount of sleep, to no damage of the brains function. Another example for this is Wolfram's implants for his Augments, that send signals to his synthetic hands, just like regular hands. Implants also have a social side affect, that's cause is unknown, that causes emotional detachment, causing most implantees to become socially incompatible.

Cyprus: Throughout the years, Cyprus - Named after the country, which ironically suffered economical problems, is the trading capital for all trading operations. The NY stock exchange isn't in operation, and now Cyprus serves as the home for the new stock exchange.

A wafer of a red headed female dressed in a white blouse and black pants had ran into him not much taller the 5 feet with the starkest blue eyes ever. Her voice was soft and slightly accented
Pardon sir I did not see you there my sight is going bad and I lost my latest glasses which help me see.
I do hope I did not harm you.
I was in a rush to catch my bus so I would not be late to my second job of the day and normally this path is free of people.
Maybe it is faith or something for truly now I have missed my bus to job I was likely going to loose today anyway.
I should however get going all the same.
With that she would begin to walk away figuring that the man just like most men she knew would want nothing to do with her after all she was broken and soon enough would be totally useless or so she had been told.

He looked at the woman, he wasn't easy to trust people, due to the social disabilities that the nuero-transmitters that Augments required produced. But something about this girl seemed, interesting, intelligent, and that -with the proper training- would prove herself useful.

As the girl was walking away, he finally spoke up. "You said you needed a job. Well, you said that you'd lose your job.." He paused, and once he was sure he'd comprised enough emphasis, he re-spoke "- How would you like to work for the Triad? We have a great medical deal, I could get you surgery for free to fix those eyes." It was a risque offer, but against most societarial standards, Loyalty could indeed be bought, or at least established with a small "token of appreciation."

"I could get you a job as a secretary for one of the Triad heads.. Good money. And good on a resume." Even though his job required no secretary, everyone deserved a chance in the world. And Cyprus wasn't the newbie friendly place most make it out to be. His rise to power in the Triad almost came naturally, and easily. The reason for this was also the reason for his augments. He used to work in a mill that was ran by one of the heads of the Triad. She constantly watched her workers progress, productivity and such. And Wolfram was the most productive of all the workers, leading a 150% productivity over most quotas. One day, he and another worker were working on a rundown Automaton. Automatons are almost essential in all mill work, they are VI powered machinery -VI's are Virtual Intelligence, limited to boundaries, and programmed thinking and duties, whilst AI's were usually considered true synthetics, and have no thinking boundaries- This bot was designed for moving and molding certain metal parts, those that most tools and workmen couldn't do. They did get the machine running eventually, but as Wolfram was stepping away from the machine, the automatons arm malfunctioned, and was sent into his chest, cracking his ribs, his arms were also lost in the accident -But the details will be spared- The head of the triad saw this as a opportunity, a gamble nearly- To get Wolfram's loyalty herself. She ordered for him to be sent to the Augmentation facility in Cyprus. Wolfram's ribs and forearms were replaced, a week later, The Triad head offered him a job as the overseer for all the industrial operations, later though, he displayed his gift for understanding markets, and a steel-strong sense of bartering.

I suppose I could do a job as a secretary for a while at least or well for as long my eyes decide they wish to see which could be days to years. I have no way of knowing. Genetics they are a bitch.

Clearly thinking even more now as she stood shifting her weight slightly.

Is the job near here or are there driver which can pick me up and take me back home after? I had a job like that once until they moved and I was forced to leave because I could no longer get to and from work.

Sighs clearly now about to walk away again but then stopping shifting once more clearly growing slightly uncomfortable.

Oh and what is your name please and where did you say you worked at?

When she asked his name, he turned around to face her. "Wolfram, well, that's what everyone knows me by. And you must have heard of the Triad." With that statement, he motioned to the skyscraper behind him, the front doors gleaming with 'Triad Trade Company' and 'Triad PMC Inc.' in shining silver. "Let me show you the offices." He said, leading them to the building.

During the elevator ride up, he remained silent, and in a corner of the elevator. Once they reached his floor, he guided the lady out of the doors. "The entire floor is mine, and that cluster right there is my 'office'." He motioned to a bulky desk, with several terminals linked to the Triad Network. His office was at the peak of the tower, and overlooked all of Cyprus, and the ocean on its south side.

"Make yourself at home." He said, walking to his desk. "I'll explain your duties later."

This was all happening too quickly. He didn't even know her name she thought as she was lead to a desk to sit at.
Was this a trap, a front for something bad? Was he going to sell her off? No one knew she was even here but the man calling himself Wolfram and she didn't know him from a whole in wall really.
Fear would begin creeping over her body slowly at first as she sat there waiting for his return at first it was not bad but the longer she waited the worse it got, which for her was not a good thing at all.
For with her sight being bad as it was now for whatever reason anytime she got overly fearful her body would react in the basic opposite way she thought it should and full on temporary blindness would set in.
Why hadn't she run when she was outside, or even said no when he started to bring her up?
By the time he returned he would find her sitting deer in the head lights look, ghost white complexion gripping the desk breathing to near hyperventilation, and her lips mouthing, run run run.

He remained quiet, peering over the terminals, trying to find any error in the other 'market experts' - A self proclaimed title that everyone tried to acquire- And fix them, before tomorrow when the prices would be updated.

When he realized the woman was remaining quiet, he turned around. "I'm being impolite aren't I?" Over the years of implants and augments, his social mannerisms had past him, and he often had to catch himself being rude. "I never.. Really got your name." She looked frighten, that was obvious, and it seemed as if she was constantly trying to focus on him. Obviously her statements about her eyesight made on her part weren't lies at all, but truths.

A long silence filled the room finally a few deep breaths taken and a shake of her head she spoke.
Sorry my name is AniMarie or Ani and forgive me my fears don't often kick up but when they do I find myself totally blind until the fear passes.
Oh gods why had she told him that. Why of why? Her secrets as if he wasn't a total stranger. Now he knew. Now he he could make her blind by fear. Now he could, he could, he could.
Please forgive me show me out this is too much. Too much. I wish to go now. Please.
Again her breathing would begin picking up leaving her breast even with there small size to heavy up and down but still she spoke only it was growing more broken.
I... I should have told you... I should have told you I suffer from...from.... from... I suffer from fear ... from fear induced panic attacks. I'm sorry.
Finally she would begin to calm down then taking in some very deep breaths.
New places do it to me as do men until I get to know them or not, so you see you are double whammy for me, Wolfram.

He nodded, sympathizing with her. "Well, I don't intend to be to fright-educing." He said, calmly, keeping his distance, so that he didn't come off as a threat. "That's a nice name, Ani.." He turned back to his terminals, repeating her name in his head, remembering it. "Like I explained before, Ani, We have a great medical coverage, especially me. We could get you new implants, to help with your eyes, they can either eliminate blindness, or they'll slow down the progression.."

Once he was done pitching her his idea, he turned to look out the window of the office. Cyprus looked beautiful, even though he fully grasped how many people had been scammed, or killed for it to reach this glory point. "I honestly do hope that your condition improves." He said, reassuringly

Ani would listen calming as Wolf spoke. Finally when done she took a deep breath.
I have already had an operation and it did not take as it should have but it did buy me more time before fully loosing my sight. Perhaps implants would work but I unsure. How do the implants work?
As she spoke and asked questions Wolf would notice she was taking perfect notes now with barely a glance down to see what she was writing.

He slowly nodded, grinning at the fact that he was starting a conversation. "Implant's pretty much rewire our brains." He took a small step, and rolled his sleeves up. "See, I have artificial arms, well partially. They are expensive, really expensive. And since we can't control machinery with our brains, I have implants that allow me to control them just like I would my old arms." He rolled his sleeves back down, and gave a half smile. "Another use for implants is in work forces, most miners in big operations have sleep implants, doubling the effects of any sleep you have, say you have five hours of sleep, but it makes your brain function as if it had ten." He knew this because all of his workers in Verner were outfitted with these.

"I think that implants are just sciences way of quickening evolution.." He said, and he walked over to the small fridge in the room, and pulled out a water bottle. "Can I get you anything?" He asked Ani.

Ani would look at Wolf's arms for a few moments not long enough to make him uncomfortable or anything but long enough to take them in and make note to ask him at a later time maybe what happened.
The question of a drink also threw her off slightly but smiling all the same now.
Water would be nice, Wolf.
You don't mind that I call you Wolf do you?
Ani would blush slightly then but continue talking.
As far as the implants go I'm slightly scared right now and well I guess as long as I can see I don't wish them. That is OK I do not get them, right?
Wolf would hear fear once more creeping up into Ani voice as she closed her eyes and began to once more start her deep breathing in order to calm herself as she mumbled to herself and aloud a like.
Sorry....

"Yes, it is completely up to you." He said, grabbing a water, and returning to Ani, passing the water to her. "And Wolf is fine, Wolfram isn't my genuine name per-say, It's more of an alias, to keep my family safe. Most of the public doesn't even know what I look like, and I like to keep it that way." He said, almost proudly.

"So, you are probably wondering what your duties would be. Thats a good question." He said, and he walked into the corner office, that had sheets covering the windows, to keep out unwanted light, and he pulled the covers off, exposing a fully furnished office, the furniture still had plastic covers over the leather. "Here is your office." He said, walking into the lobby again. "You make yourself at home." He sat down in his chair, and rolled over to her. He was warming up to this girl, so he let his casual side show slightly. "I need someone to take calls, and double-check the work I can't get to. It's pretty self explanatory. I am also always in the office, my living arrangements are behind you, in that 'office'. So, if you have any questions, I am nearby." He said, taking a breath, and then he had realized he had just unloaded a lot of information onto this girl. "I hope all of this is okay? I hope I didn't go to fast.."

No it all sounds fine to me,and like something I handle at least for now.
Ani would smile brightly for the first time in several hours then as she took the water touching Wolf's hand possibly a fraction too long.
Thank you, Wolf, and Wolf I understand about not wishing to give your real name.
With that Ani would set to work organizing the desk area where she now sat and clearly worked too since she never said she would not and well she needed the job after all how else would she pay for her small place just a few blocks away and other things like the bus and food.

He let Ani settle in. He made his way across the office, and into the lobby, and stared at the monitors. For some reason though - and this never happened, even though he had had secretaries that were attractive around the office - he found himself glancing every few minutes into the office, watching Ani work. He finally tried to shake glancing at her, and started to work again, correcting stock prices.

In a week or so, the leave would end, and then he would have to hand off watching stock prices to Ani, and he would have to run Verner from the office. A time taking process.

(("OOC: Phantom and I have both agreed upon a time skip"))

Ani had now been working at Wolf's offices for nearly a week and as the time passed Wolf had given her more and more "duties" often keeping there until the late hours of the night and sometimes even into the wee morning hours.
With the work picking up as it had Wolf also offered her a place within the building to stay and sleep similar to his sleeping place and paid off a year of rent at the place she was suppose to live but rarely went anymore.
Ani also was finding herself more and more with deeper feeling for Wolf but still she had said nothing but often times her touch or a glance would last what would seem too long as did Wolf's at times.

Today's work finally done and rather early for it was just barely 10 PM she would knock on Wolf's door, peering her head in at the same time.
Wolf I am done, here are the files, papers, and well everything you asked to be done.
In her hands would be the huge stack of papers some of them no most of them with brightly colored papers sticking out from various places.
Wolf do you need anything else or would you perhaps like to go to the coffee shop downstairs which I know to always be open and have some coffee and dessert with me.

Had Ani just asked that question, Yes she had and she couldn't believe it as she now stood there blushing 10 shades of red and praying Wolf would say yes.

Wolfram was sitting cross legged on the bed, and looking at his tablet, reading developing news across the globe, when Ani peeped in. "Wolf do you need anything else or would you perhaps like to go to the coffee shop downstairs which I know to always be open and have some coffee and dessert with me." He gave a light smile, and noticed that she was blushing. "Well, that does sound delightful. Thank you Ani." He was surprised by her offer, and was, 'flattered' or at-least as flattered as he could get.

Fifteen minutes later, Ani returned, with coffee, and a small box with cream cake, which he gratefully accepted. "Thank you. I can't remember the last time someone offered to share a meal with me." He said, taking a bite of the cake. While he did that though, he watched Ani, and the way she ate, and moved out of the corner of his vision.

Ani would simply seem to be picking at the dessert she brought herself while watching Wolf eat his.
After a few moments or more of silence she spoke up.
I'm glad you are liking the dessert I brought you, the girl at coffee shop said they where you favorite there. I am not so sure about them myself but then again I have never really cared for overly sweet things. Perhaps that is why I like you or rather should I say I am beginning to like you more and more each day.

Before Ani could then say something she might regret even more she quickly got up feeling her whole body turn red and not paying attention to anything else at that very moment including the fact she couldn't see.

One step, two steps, the third step beginning to be taken and then a scream as her body fell to the ground shaking.
Wolf I can't see everything is black.

Ani would then wait listening for his foot falls to come closer praying to herself as tears streamed down her face knowing she was being very unproffsional now that this wasn't the moment Wolf was waiting for to do something unthinkable to her and knowing if it was there was little to nothing she could do.
Ani also was not sure if this was premiant or not but could not recall any reason why this had come on so suddenly, yes her eyes had been giving her trouble this past day but no more then usual or at least she didn't think so. Then again maybe telling Wolf she liked him was what did this, all she knew was at that very moment she hated her body and genetics alike.

He smiled as he ate his dessert, and smiled at her compliments, supprised that she had an interest in him. He was enjoying her company. "Thanky-" His sentance was cut off when she collapsed, and he quickly jumped off the bed, and rushed to her aid. "Are you okay? Do you need me to call the Medics?"

He scooped Ani up, and laid her on the bed. "You're staying here. I cant allow you to drive home in your condition."

It took her a moment to regain herself slightly and then to simple begin hysterical laughter.
Wolf I don't drive and it for this reason I do not drive. However staying here would be great since I know it's late and I have no desire to fight going anywhere. Hopefully some sleep will return my sight but for now I am dead ass blind, and I guess I just over reacted. Forgive me?
Wolf would feel her feeling around as if for his hand or something who really knew at that point she didn't even know but something was drawling her closer in feelings right now to Wolf then she had felt for a man in a long while, but it felt so wrong. No wait did it feel right Ani didn't know anymore she was so confused by herself, her mind, and especially her body.
A long deep sigh was finally given.
If I stay here where will you sleep Wolf?
The question asked in a half yawn as her darkened eyes began to slowly fall closed.

He made sure she was in a decent condition. And once the question of where he would sleep came up, he paused. "I.. Probably will gather some covers from the storage room, and sleep on the couch.." He didn't want to impose anything, and cause her to go blind. He grasped her hand when she blindly searched for his. He held it, attempting to calm and comfort her.

He sat on the edge of the bed, and watched her body behavior, she was relaxing more, and he couldn't help but look her over while she had her eyes closed, in the fall, her coat had slightly slipped from her shoulder, and her red hair had spread across the pillows. Her skin was soft, he could tell by her hands, a soft, smooth feel (Or at least what his Augments artificial nerves where telling his brain). And her skin was a pleasant peach tint. The room was quiet -besides the fan's, and hum of generators going through the vents.-

"Well, I don't have to sleep on the couch, perhaps if you had another suggestion on where I could sleep? If you would feel safer with me in here, perhaps?" It was a gamble, and she was likely to storm out of the room, or she would say yes. It seemed that Ani had a hook on his emotions that he couldn't sever.

Ani voice was quite.
Wolf stay, lay with me please. I don't wish to be alone.
Wolf would then feel (or register) her body moving and feel it sort of curling around his as he sat there.
I just want someone to hold or to hold me and you help calm me too which I need. I want nothing else for now maybe one day when I am ready and we get through everything then maybe I will want more but for now I find it to still be too soon.
Ani was babbling and she knew it so before she could say anything she may regret further she simply closed her eyes again gave a deep sigh and waited for Wolf to either move her or tell her to move over so he too could get into the bed (or wherever they are now LoL) and she could feel his arms around her which was what she really wanted more then anything right now.

OOC: Yeah they're on the bed xD. Also, for readers, Wolfram arm is there, except from a little lower than the elbow, so only a small portion is really Augmented, The Augments themselves are smooth, and a dull gray color, the Augment feels like a hard skin.
Wolfram nodded. He respected her boundries, and was excited for shat the future held, he moved her slightly, so that he could lay behind her, and offered an arm for her to hold. He hoped she wouldnt be disgusted by his Arms, but he pushed the thoughta out of his head. He would hold her for the remainder of the night, and would soon fall asleep.

The next morning, she was still there, sound asleep. He smiled, and laid still as to not wake her.

Around another 30 or so minuets passed and finally Ani began to stir, yawn and stretch. Seeing or more feeling Wolf still there made her smile.
Fearful her sight was truly gone she hesitated in opening her eyes fully but final did and all Wolf would hear was this squeezing shout.
I can see again....sort of but I'm not fully blind yet.
Wolf would feels her arms go about his body, and then what could only maybe be a very light peck (kiss) to his back area between the shoulder blades.
Thank you Wolf for staying with me and not making me wake alone and scared, and for not being like most other men I have known when I do have an episode like I did last night.
