I was wondering if anybody here have travelplans for the future? If you do, feel free to share, and maybe somebody here can give ideas as to what to see where you're going.

I'm going to Miami in a few weeks, but will not have much time for fun. :(

I have a big trip coming up in less than 6 months time!

On March 12th 2008 I'll be flying out on the biggest trip of my life, and I'm very excited about it. I booked my ticket yesterday, so now it's real :nana:

The destination of MBT (my big trip) will be two countries. The first country I'll be headed to is Malaysia, where I'll be on vacation for 2 weeks, with my mom and her husband. They have treated all their kids to a 2 weeks vacation there next year, and totally we'll be 11 from Denmark and 8 from Sweden on vacation together (mom's hubby is Swedish, and his kids and their family lives in Sweden).

Then when they head home I'll be flying in the oppsite direction of them, and head to Sydney, for a 2 weeks vacation in Australia, which I've wanted to visit for many many years. My plans for my Australian trip isn't set yet, but I will spend time in Sydney, and I hope to go to see Uluru (Ayers Rock) as well. Otherwise I have a few ideas, but they aren't set yet, and Rebecca have promised to help me with them.

Here's my itenerary (pdf file).

Im going to Vegas on the 3rd.... to the 9th... I am moving back there on the 15th but had to go to arrange my living situation.....

The last, and only, time I went to Miami this, this and this happened! ;)

The last one looks like fun. ;) Is your hand doing something under the table there?

Unfortunately my time will be spent with someone who is very ill so I will not be seeing any thing that interesting.

I do have a plan to go to Newcastle for one night in November....boring, I know...nothing aboard!!

Again, next year - Easter, my friend is planning a weekend stay at one of the cottages in York, with some friends, so should be a good weekend away. Can't wait! :D

You trip sounds like it will be a blast. While I've been all over North America and lived in Europe for a while, I've not been to Asia or Australia.

Nothing big planned for me... oh, wait. I may *crosses fingers* be joining the Lakers in Hawaii for their annual training camp in October. My BFF bought two reservations, but it seems like her companion (her cousin) will NOT be able to make it. That leaves me in the #2 spot (ok, maybe #3)! I won't know until Tuesday.

Other than that, I'll probably be heading to the midwest in November.

My friend and I will be hitting Key West in January for 8 days. I'm trying to resist starting the countdown until at least November.

I think we are going to the cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul) next weekend for our 5 year anniversary. We will have the kids with us so nothing too exciting will take place I am sure. Though we do try to make it to the renfest every year.
We also travel to Indianapolis every year for Christmas. Sirs family lives there it is always a good time.
Of Course next year we will be moving we just don't know where to yet! lol

Nothing definite for the future, but I just recently returned from London.

I've been to several places in Europe, and many places in the US, mostly on the east coast though, hopefully I'll be able to make it to the west coast in about 1½ years time. I would like to do a road trip there.

I'm REALLY excited about my big trip. What I'm looking most forward to is Australia, it'll just be so cool to go there!

Great idea this thread and great travel plans.

Malaysia I hear is breath-taking. The blue/blue waters and the jungles...ah how primitive. Their skyline is impressive as well.

Now for Australia well one thing comes to mind of what not to miss...Miss rebecca of course.

Enjoy!!

rebecca will probably be more help to you than moi as she is more familiar with Sydney etc., and more up to date with things there. You might like to go north to Byron Bay if you have time...eastern most point of Australia so gets the first sunlight each day and has some incredible views from the top of the cliffs. You might also like the Blue Mountains which are west of Sydney and gorgeous. Of course, you will likely gain a few kilos with all the delicious food. :D With a bit of luck I will be in Queensland in January to see my family...not looking forward to the weather, but I'm sure I will enjoy indulging my senses to store for another couple of years. :cathappy:

Thanks for the suggestions Catalina :) And yes I know Rebecca will be great help!

I did think about you when I found out when I'm flying through Amsterdam, but there's just to little time to try to hook up.

I do hope that Miss Rebecca will at least let me buy her coffee or lunch for her help, that's the least I can do :)

What a great idea for a thread, considering how many people we have in here from all over the globe it makes perfect sense to swop ideas and places of interest.

I am so envious at the thought of shyguy and Miss Rebecca meeting next year.
Shyguy is wonderful a really lovely man, I hope he and Miss Rebecca get to meet for coffee and a chat.

Shyguy please give Rebecca a HUGE kiss from me

I have few travel plans for the coming months. I have been talking with a friend about visiting Barcelona in December but it all depends on my finances between now and then. I really should try and gather some savings and go on holiday next year, but then again I love visiting new cities.

I have a conference on the west coast in February. I can think of places other than San Jose I'd rather go though ...

Yes, I saw that. :(

Not very subtle Shyguy : chuckles :

I'm on it. I am also extraordinarily busy though my lil brain is making mini trips all over the place currently considering that which passes as amazing over that which passes as trite.

Few more days or you can attempt to shame me in public for being lax in assisting you.

Note the 'attempt '
