FBI taking a break from investigating the shootings in Chicago. What is the FBI doing on this case which appears to only involve state jurisdiction?

The FBI is now helping Fresno Police in the search for the man accused of killing a transgender person earlier this week.

Fresno Police released new video Saturday afternoon, of what appears to be the same vehicle driven by the man accused of killing a transgender person hours earlier.

“There is always the potential he is going to hide that vehicle or leave town with that vehicle. That’s the risk we take,” says Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer.

The video was from ten hours after 66-year-old Kenton Haggard was killed.

Haggard was stabbed in the early hours of July 23rd, in the area of Blackstone and Cornell, near Shields.

Haggard’s roommates told detectives that Haggard had begun dressing as a woman three to six months ago, and had developed a drug addiction.

Surveillance video shows a Saturn SUV drive up to Haggard.

After minutes of talking, Haggard leans into the car, and is stabbed directly in the neck with a knife.

Haggard dies minutes later.

While the victim was transgender, Police have not classified this as a hate crime
