After having stumbled across CandiFLA's page on youtube *The "Reasons 2 date transsexuals" video in particular, and laughing my ass off* I explored further, finding many other humorous or very insightful/reflective pages, too many to really list. I was impressed, they were fascinating to me, I wanted to learn more about them.

I think the most important thing to know is that transgender individuals are people, just like the rest of us. They're not an alien species, and they're not lab specimens. Asking "what are trans people like" is kind of like asking "what are Brazilian people like?" Sure, there are common experiences, but everyone has their own story.

I would recommend watching the movie Transamerica, and also Boys Don't Cry. The miniseries TransGeneration is good but might be hard to find. Soldier's Girl is another good movie. There are lots more but they're not coming to mind just now.

Transgenerations is available on you tube

also try : Breakfast on Pluto, Crying Game

Books Like :

Shes Not There - Jennifer Finney Boylan

My Husband Betty - Helen Boyd

Shes Not the Man I Maried - Helen Boyd

Okay, I found TransAmerica, but it was out. The only other one I could find was Crying Game, which I rented.

IMO Dil was far too accepting of Fergus's insecurities, obviously out of desperation. But then, Fergus was dumber than a box of rocks to not know from the start. When anyone tries to tell you there's something you should know... Listen. LOL It will save you alot of embarassment.

And really, thats the crux of it all, the embarassment, the feeling that you have been had for a fool.

The fact that you find it an embarrassment if you were "caught" with a trans causes me issue (which I read from your post). Quite honestly, if you are attracted to a person romantically and sexually, I do take issue at you having MAJOR problems with the actual plumbing. Genital parts can have issues, whether it be actual functioning (or dysfunctioning) whether it be physical or mental. We are human regardless of what body part we have. If you accept the person for whom they are, the rest of the package comes with. Assuming you are open to that. (and forgive me if I come out of nowhere - cold meds and all). Jennifer's book was great. So is Helen's and her ongoing webpage. I would also recommend exploring the book Genderqueer if you are coming from a female perspective. :)

I'm sorry Kierae, but I was refering to how Fergus, the character in the film reacted.

I also never said I have any MAJOR problems with a person's bits.

If I had a problem with anyones bits, it would be my own, cause I'm icky. LOL.

strap-on

l worked with a transexual during his change over to female,he had all the jobs done except his dick cut off, because he realised he preferred women to men and his lesbian girlfriend preferred real cock from a "woman" than a plastic substitute.
whilst l worked with him because of all the hormones he was taking it was like working for a women permanently with PMT.
