Ok i should of posted this a couple weeks ago when the event actually happened but I didn't make a big deal about it when I should of.

As a lot of the glbt community know all of use are persecuted and attacked by people for what we are because we don't fit into the ideal mold of society and we believe enough and are strong enough in our convictions to stick out and be who we are.

A couple months ago there was a hate crimes law passed in congress to put transgenders and i believe other glbt members on the list president bush will probably veto this law and I doubt it will have enough support to override his veto but we can all hope can't we?

Anyway to give visuals in the form of a comic of how things that are wrong can happen her you go. http://venusenvy.comicgenesis.com/

we all need to stand together and fight for our rights as a group and not individual communities. Together the GLBT community can be strong its individual parts the G the L the B and the T are going to be weakened. So everyone continue to have the nerve and the strength to stand up and do what is right for yourselves and don't let society dictate to you what you should be.

Love,

Hmm. I tend not to like the lumping together...it's bad enough to be slotted into categories in the first place. Then in my view, T does not fit in with this group anyway...

GAY - Homosexuality
Lesbian - Homosexuality
Bisexual
Transgendered

Three of them are categories based on sexuality , whereas transgenderism is a gender category, not a sexuality one. Yes there are things in common, like social difficulties and networking techniques, but there is a great danger that putting T in this basket will make people even more confused and uninformed than they already are. It could make life even harder for us (yes i am T)

That said I do see how there is a political and social need to co-operate in advancing what might be called a socially progressive or inclusive agenda.

Yeah we each have our differences and different needs at times, but in the end the hurdles we face are all very similar though. Yes the others are sexuality issues and Trans is a gender issue but most Transgenders have to deal with issues of sexuality and come to terms with themselves in that regard as well. To be progressive you have to stick with people that share the same needs you need. In this case equality. The NAACP here in the states supports the transgender agenda too because when one group gains rights it helps everyone. Supporting and helping others never hurts you it builds allies for your causes so the more allies you have the better off you are.

I'm a Bi-curious male to female transexual. I wish i could say i'm a bi-curious woman but that would be discounting that my experiences are that of a transgender and not a man or a woman.
