China appealed to Washington for a quick end to their trade war but gave no indication Thursday what additional steps Beijing might want before carrying out what President Donald Trump says is a promise to buy up to $50 billion of American farm goods.

Why would they appeal for a quick end to it. Could it be because their economy growth is on the down turn?

Inquiring minds.

The simple answer to your question is "yes", they're feeling the pinch. As for me, I don't care if the tariffs are kept in place, or even increased, until China's economy collapses. Especially now that the Europeans have joined in, albeit to a much lesser degree.

My reasons are as follows;

1. The Chinese are thieves and their government is no better than a crime syndicate. They are stealing intellectual property from anyone and everyone. The trade imbalance wouldn't exist if the Chinese paid the royalties on the intellectual property they're stealing. Most of the press continually ignores this aspect of the trade negotiations. And the big problem is that the Chinese have agreed to "crack down" in the past, but make no move to do so.

2. They are in effect waging a chemical war against the US. 90% of the Fentanyl that is flowing into the US is of Chinese origin. This used to be 100% but two years ago they agreed to put Fentanyl on the "restricted" drug list. As a result of that agreement the Cartels cranked up some labs down in Mexico. But the Chinese reneged on that agreement as well so except for some small Mexican lab outputs the Chinese Fentanyl continues to flow in unabated.

The bottom line is that they have reneged on virtually all meaningful agreements they've entered into. Let their economy collapse and their government along with it. The short term pain would be worth the long term gains.

Totally agree. I have no problem with the tariffs staying in play indefinitely. Fuck the Chinese.

ZeroHedge had a chart of the capital outflow from ChinkLand

They are imploding

~indeed~

The Chinese can’t be trusted to honor any agreement that doesn’t benefit China period.

Bet you're laughing so hard snot is running down your face.

What trade agreement has Trump entered into that he's reneged on?

Nice try at moving the goal posts dumbass.

Go back and read my post again.

And we have a moron that can’t answer the question - no surprise.

Donald Trump is the only man standing between the United States and Chinese domination. As soon as the deep state and the Democrats engineer his assassination they will fold the trade talks and assume the face down ass up position against communism they have demonstrated since the end of WWII.

LOL, well then we are fucked because he couldn't even stand up to Turkey.

And it's not democrats praising Xi Jinping, it's Trump.

The rest is just another typical Vetteman homoerotic fantasy.

Joe Biden PRAISED china recently. The last time I checked he was one of the Democrats running for President.

You really need to get your facts straight. Or anything straight for that matter.

He said this as well, “I mean, you know, they’re not bad folks, folks. But guess what? They’re not competition for us,” thus illustrating his professional penchant for being wrong on every foreign policy issue of his career.

If Nancy Pelosi would get off her high horse and try to get the USMCA passed, it would probably put more pressure on China for a trade deal. Just saying.
