I am thinking about buying my s/o a sex toy for xmas...he bought me my first. I am not to sure though what to get. I know there are those things that are like pussies, and some guys like vibrators....what would be good for a first timer? I know what I like in a sex toy...not to sure about him. I have tried to ask some q's, but he has never had any experience with toys. So..any guys or ladies who could recommend something not to scary for a guy's first toy? I am not to sure what to look for!

Have you tried using any of your toys on him? That might be a good way to find out how receptive he is to any kind of vibrator.

Another tactic might be to get something that could be taken as a gag gift-- like a molded pussy-- and then see what happens.

A third option would be to get something you could use together or on each other-- perhaps handcuffs or a soft flail like a stinger.

One of my earliest gifts received was a set of buttplugs in graduated diameters from about "little finger" up to "the guy next door". Well just encourage him to try ANYthing then. He doesn't have to even like it. If he truly doesn't like it, then pitch it. But he's not gonna know until he tries something.

Just remind him that he's not obligated to keep/ enjoy the toy. Compliment him on his sense of bravery at least and let him know that you were just trying to find something for his enjoyment too.

As far as defining "fun", I think you're already doing it. Isn't half the fun just searching out that "perfect" present and then surprising him with it? The journey seems as much fun as the destination here!
