Toy bag question

I know this might sound like a strange question, but……

I’ve recently increased my toy collection to the point that I needed to upgrade to a larger toy bag. I ended up using a canvas, briefcase looking type bag with a black lining. Somehow all the jelly toys I’ve placed in this case have managed to become stained. (Kind of like clothing touching a new pair of blue jeans the first time they’re washed, if that makes sense.) I’ve cleaned the toys to see if the stain would come out, which it hasn’t, but I have used them so I feel they’re safe, although not as pretty anymore.

My question actually is more towards a carrying case for any new toys. I’d prefer to not have this happen again and was hoping somebody might have a recommendation of the best material to keep toys in good shape. Jelly ones especially since they’re the only ones I’ve had this problem with.

Probably a good idea to keep the jelly toys in plastic bags.

I have a couple different bags. All of them are cloth cosmetic type of bags. I keep the anal separate from the vaginal insertables. ALmost all of my toys are silicone, I am not a big fan of jelly at all. The few I have I keep wrapped in their own piece of cloth in the bag. I also keep my favorite chocolate silicone dildo wrapped in cloth. I take extra care of that. It has lasted almost daily use for about two years.

Seconding the plastic bag opinion.

I have all of my dildos and plugs and such in the oversized sandwich bags, with a ton of extra bags in my toybag in case something happens to the original.

It is not very portable but I keep all my toys in a humidor (sp) by the side of my bed. I do not smoke so I dont use it for cigars. But I inside the humidor itself I have things in plastic bags by category. Nipple clamps in one bag, restraints in anoter, vibrators in another, butt plugs in yet another. etc. etc.

Having learned long ago that anything that can be stained by contact with something/anything else will end up getting stained by contact with something else, anything I have that's rubber, silicone, plastic, jelly, etc., could leak (like lube!), or goes inside the body has its own plastic bag, and there are spares available. I've found that the Hefty OneZip bags are very sturdy, easy to open and close, and if properly sealed will contain the contents of an entire crushed/split 6-ounce container of lube after it's exited its container, without leaking the lube out into the rest of my "stuff."

I second, third, and fourth the notion of keeping sex toys like dildos in a separate plastic bag - It adds to the bulk of my bag, but I actually keep mine in their original containers. I have a large tote (just bought for the purpose), and a large artist's tube that I can string over my shoulder for canes. I also have a smaller toybag that I sometimes use that allows me to carry what for me are "the essentials." Neon

I did plastic bags for awhile, and they were a huge pain in the ass.

My toy bag is actually a box, one of those large Rubbermaid toteboxes with a snap-on lid. I keep each "category" of toys in their own smaller Rubbermaid box--sensation toys, anal toys, vaginal toys, nipple toys, and gags/earplugs each get their own boxes. Lube is kept in a Ziploc bag in the anal toy box. My rope, cuffs, and impact toys just go in the bottom of the large box, since they take up so much space. The smaller boxes keep the dust and icky stuff off the toys and make it easier to find certain toys, and the large box holds it all together.

It's not convenient for moving toys around, though. I would never travel with my entire collection, anyway, however, so I just drop a few toys in my overnight bag when I'm going to see B. or a sub.

Okay, so I live alone, and my pets are all in aquariums, and I don't get many unexpected visitors (the ones I do get are usually happy to see a display so easily acessable to them ) so I guess that's a big part of my choice of how to keep them.

I do have a toy bag that I keep things like the benwas, clothes pegs, mouse traps, tacks, and any thing else that I either have an abundance of, don't use often, or try to pretend that I absolutely hate. I also pack the whole collection up to take with me when I go play at other places. Of course my large paddle and my crop(s {I just bought a new one }) don't fit in the bag, and it's starting to rip at the seams it's so full....but yeah...I think I had a point some where.

My roommate makes hand knitted & felted vibrator cozies, but we're trying to decide how to properly line them with satin (or silk), for silicone/jelly materials. J keeps the rope, flogger, etc in a drawer in the closet; I keep my things in a little trunk by my bed. Now the organizational hamster in my head is twitching about how to store things more easily...

I do have some larger toys that won't fit in most ziploc size plastic bags , but since this sounds like the most recommended way to go I'll do some looking around.

I do like the rubbermad tote idea for at home storage and will probably see about investing in one, but I do need something to be able to carry things with me.

roxy babe they make ziplocks that are garbage bag size now....try home depot

Just got back from a trip to Dom Depot and spent waaaay too much time in the ropes and chains aisle. It's like being in a candy store without having to worry about cholesterol or calories.

i buy the big sized ones = ) 'normal' sized ones don't do it for a lot of them. they do work for a few though, don't go thinking i'm a total size queen

If I am bring my toys with me somewhere, I have a small duffel bag. It is a high quality bag made by Northface and has a water proof liner that doesn't stain and is easy to wash. They make a few different sizes based on how big your collection is too.

At home I have a walk-in closet with shelves, etc., and a small chest. Make a lot of use of small rubbermaid containers (clamps, batteries, hardware for spanking bench, candles, lubes, etc.) and zip-bags for individual toys that are insertable. Cuffs, whips, crops, etc., all hang on rods. The small chest is next to the bed and has the vibes, dildoes, Magic Wand, and a first-aid kit.

When we travel, I bought a "stealth bag" -- at IKEA ... spent 59 cents on it!

Long enough that I can lay the whips out flat, or with only a fold at most. I separate each from the other with terry cloth towels ... not very elegant but helps keep from tangles ... Underneath them I put plastic boxes, cleaning supplies, etc., depending on what I think I'll use for the particular play session.

I tried a canvas bag and it was fine until I had to park at a public garage and walk two blocks with the crops sticking out of it.

If you feel the need to carry everything archery cases are huge and inexpensive. But the same downside as gun cases if you get pulled over or are walking through a hotel lobby.
