First off do you have a first aid kit with your toys?

What do YOU think is important to keep in your first aid kit at all times?

I have just a standard level 3 first aid kit (the kind you buy already put together in a case) with my toys.

Also what do you keep on hand for cleaning toys? (leather, rubber, latex, wood ect...)

Oh, shoot, another thing to add to my list of worries.

I went searching for what might be necessary and this link provided some good information.

One thing that i know will be in my kit is a spare inhaler. Can't search through the drawer or my purse for it if i can't move, now can i?

We have first aide kits, but not in the toy box. How many people do have them handy? Looking at that site, made me wonder if I should put another one together just for our box.

Thats a good list. Wolph. You should add in a small flashlight, because many times if are you playing at a party or a club or somewhere dark and might have to find something in your kit.

lilred....excellent list.....*jotting down items needed*

Seems like with the addition of the flashlight by MzChrista, you've thought of most everything.

:D

I never think of the flashlight, why? because I have never played in public, other then a scripted preformance thing on stage and that was completely scripted and fake ( how fake? I played a Domme that should tell ya ). So alot of the stuff that would be needed for public "opps" aren't first and foremost in my mind.

*Hanging head in shame*

Until recently I was a Public First Aider ... and errrrrrr (shame on me) I haven't actually got a first aid kit. Ohhhh I have all the bits and pieces you would put in a kit - but I really ought to get them together in one place.

Haven't got any first-aid bits in the bedroom apart from antiseptci wipes and cream. We only ever get the chance to play at home, so that not a huge problem.

As for cleaning toys - Haven't had to clean anything other than vibes until now, and I use an antiseptic wipe for those.

We don't do public play either. Just thought a flashlight might come in handy if like there were splinters or something else really hard to see. Or in case of a power outage whilst I was tied to the darn bed.....lol

I reposted this link on the link thread morninggirl , didn't think you would mind.....:)

I ha not considered the wisdom of a special first aid kit for BDSM occasions, but I can certainly see that it is a good idea. Thank you for this informative thread.

Thought i would remind ya of this thread.......

Did I tell ya how well an eye occluder works on the knuckles on the back of the hand? Bends more and sticks better then regular bandaids.

i have added a small flashlite :D and some extra burn cream because fireplay has become 1 of my new joys

We have a couple of toybag first aid kits depending on where we are playing...home or with others. They mostly consist of Pawpaw Ointment as it is great for allergic skin reactions, burns, cuts, etc; Betadine, cotton swabs, bandage, band aids of various sizes and shapes, scissors, disinfecting cloths, towel. It grows.

Thanks for the link.

Like willowpuss said in 2002 I hang my head in shame that i don't have a 'proper' first aid kit.

I should know better

Wonder if Willowpuss has sorted one out yet, I mean its only been three years.

Get an aloe plant and put it in your room for those burn situations
