towns with funny names please...

mornin' everyone. i'm working on an idea for a traveling song and i need some names of towns that are funny. example: yazoo city, mississippi. (i've actually already used that in one of my songs)

the other thing i need is sayings about driving that you might have heard members of your family using as you grew up. example: "keep it between the ditches" or "remember, rubber side down".

Hmm. The only driving phrase that comes to my tired mind is the one we used all too often on a road trip a year or two ago: ONE LANE, DAVE! Oh! The generic version of that would, I suppose, be "Pick a lane, any lane." I've heard that a few times. Not to ME, of course, as I drive impeccably.

Town names. Well, I've always been amused by Normal, Illinois. I'll have to post again later when I can access the random trivia sections of my brain -- they've shut down for the night.

The only thing funny is that this owner of a chinese restaurant got shut down because he was stealing pond ducks for use in his dishes. Mandarins is a Chinese province isn't it? And isn't there a dish called Mandarine Duck?

i just found a whole web page on lizzard lick and how when they got their one stoplight a neighboring town sent up their news helicopter to cover it.
