Another suggestion - especially if you're interested in getting more involved in writing erotica is the How To category on Lit. There are several stories there that can help someone get through the tension of sex and into the description of it.

I'm also glad I'm not the only one writing a WoW fic... I was worried about coming off as silly or stupid

Thank you for pointing out the How To section I'll go peek at that.

I look forward to posting, and since my muse seems to have returned to after nearly 2 years of absence, I feel full need to make use of "her".


I used to write pages and pages daily and then suddenly, nothing... couldn't force my self to type a single sentence on a page. For nearly two years I got frustrated and upset that i couldn't compete one thought or start one story, and then after a kooky dream(which is actually the source of my first wow-fic), it just all flooded back and I can't stop typing


I'm going to read your wow-fic and see what you did with it, but it's not going to affect my overall story (I'm not going to steal anything )

I take exception to that there comment, I does! I have three items in that category, and I'll have you know they're bloody wunnerful.


Seriously, galaxygodess, you could do a lot worse than start out here. I started this caper in fan-fic mode, and have adapted a couple of things I wrote in that guise to be real stand alone fiction (ok, real stand alone strokers), and am trying to build from that, using the sex angle as a crutch to move into more character driven stories. Who knows, one day I might write something worth getting rejected by a real publisher, but I'm having fun here at the moment!

Oh yeah, Celebrities is good for a giggle - suspend all disbelief (not to mention spelling and grammar skills) when entering there! And if you want a real idea of what goes well, look to the stories just out of the toplist - there's one idiot that 1 bombs all the top stories to boost his own. Seeing as most Celeb stories are short on votes, that's enough to drop them off the list.
