Tossing bowling balls at bunnies

In my early years, we lived next to Grandpa and Grandma's suburban Southern California farm, with a walnut orchard, truck garden, and poultry yard, including rabbit hutches. Even after we moved a few miles away, we visited every Sunday for midday dinner. Often it was fried chicken; often it was fried rabbit. (No, not fried rabbi -- they were Quaker but not anti-Semitic.) The bunnies were always treated humanely before they were decapitated, skinned, boned, and fried. No bowling balls were on hand, or needed. WHACK! goes the hatchet.

Brine them first (after dispatching!). Then fry in butter. Bunny in butter! Yummy!

Farmed bunny doesn't compare with wild imo. Sure, wild is less tender, it's moved some, but its flavour is better and it doesn't have the bitter taste of lingering. I do like rabbit though.

I havent shot one, skinned, and broken up yes, and eaten it, in multiple ways.

I think farmed rabbit has to be a heap better for one thing... I do like bunny stew, but I'm not partial to 20 minutes demeating the bones in the stew before eating. And I'm talking about the bowl, not the whole pot.

I missed a word. Hutch. Wild bunny is a very ethical meat.

Stew is delicious, but so is ragu, paella, bunny pot pie, or various other things. Bunny is rather versatile.

My uncle is more partial to his ferrets.

Wild bunny is ethical, but it doesnt feed you... like eating snow, You do that alone, all you do is lose kilojoules.

I can understand bunny, cause got it sucks... and thats the eating... I've never gone on a catching run.

And whn you say it like that, its not versatile, like you'd see bunny three ways at Heston's. Its versatile as in, throw it in a pot, eventually its edible'ish.

Baby bunny fried being the exception.

Little guy dog would love to go out ferreting. He stands over bunny holes redundantly for long periods of time while I am on the yard. I don't want to get ferrets. We at fully animalled up imo, and G things we should get two horses to
Ride now I am Getting well, but that will leave me eventually four to keep fit each day. And if I amReliably well I want a job.

Id love to ride, however, I'm allergic to all the bastards.

Apart from that, this is why I dont have animals... I'm allergic to them, and I cant go anywhere because of them.
