Toronto mass killer part of terrorist organization...of losers who can't get laid

LOL if they get rid of all male customers in the universe, that's not going to improve the lives of any woman who's not forced into prostitution. It's just going to leave those women in the same boat as the men: without any source of income.

They get heavy fines, then automatic jail time for repeat offenses. They have to deal with being outed to community as John's cuz they have to go to court, names are posted on daily court dockets, unless you're a minor of course.
For the pros they offer safe houses, counselling, contact with family, addiction counselling, housing help, job training etc. if they don't wish to take advantage of the help being offered they are let go and are free to pursue that lifestyle. It won't stop sex trafficking but it gives the pros an out when they decide they're ready to give up a highly dangerous profession and puts the onus where it belongs. Many women and men are forced into the lifestyle by first becoming addicted to drugs and then being threatened with violence
Is there a better solution? Cuz if there is I'd be interested to hear what it might be.

It's amazing that the law can be so blatantly and openly sexist. And it's more than just sexist against men, it's savagely mean-spirited. I totally agree with the concern about sex trafficking, totally. But to arrest the man and not the woman in the equation is flat out discriminatory in a "yeah and proud of it" way.

Decriminalize it, and stop spending resources treating consensual sex as a crime. The professionals, amateurs (Hobbyist/ prostitution fetishists) and johns as criminals. Use that to investigate, arrest, and question men who use rape threats to silence outspoken advocates, make flashing people your dick online without consent Indecent Exposure like it is in public...

You know, stop criminalizing Consent.

Have we tried that?

That's basically what they did here for the Prostitutes, not John's tho.

I love a real man that sticks to his principles, shows strength of character, rowwr.:cattail::kiss:

Right, but that's still attacking the issue from another angle, as a Problem. Something that has to be stopped, and we need johns to make a living. I suppose it's okay to deny women sex if it's payed for, (Or men, most male prostitutes are gay, but not exclusive to Johns at work. Women pay for sex too, but gay men don't have the same problem with doing it for money, as often.)

I mean legal prostitution, and protection against the crimes that Are a problem. Like rape, sexual assault, murder? Changing the focus to cutting off the Demand still doesn't stop the guys that call the [For A Good Time Call Dave: ###-####] to bash gays, AND this criminalization also allows Rapists defenses they wouldn't have, legally in court.

Like criminalizating the Victims. "It wasn't rape, it was just theft. I would have payed her if she was better at sucking my dick."

This helps men, like this who consider the desire to pay for sex demasculinizing. Badically anything as demasculinizing to prop up their sexist worldview. People like this, who're capable of following through with their violent threats because they can rent a van easier than they can get a gun, or satisfy their sexual fantasies.

What they do is Legal. Dic Picks are legal sexual assaults. Rape Threats are legal censorship. That's what Mens Rights Activism is: More rights For Men, All Men, and "Shut your whore mouth."

We take the brunt of that abuse. Prostitutes do. They do, come to us for sex. Obviously. They just can't admit it to their friends on 4chan, because they think that invalidates them, as men, and it needs to be stopped. They're only getting worse. They've escalated from raping prostitutes one at a time, to mass murders. 2 of them.

Prostitution isn't a problem. It shouldn't take news stories like this to see that.

How many incel guys are so unsocialized they can't even keep a dog let alone a woman?
Good question. I'm not getting rid of my dogs. They've earned their keep.

It is, actually. What we've done here is shift the blame to the Johns and the police try to help redirect anyone who is working as a prostitute in to a better alternative lifestyle.

Not a surprise. I mean the young ones (male and female) are doing whatever they can to survive I suppose. It becomes a career. I feel bad for them no matter how much I'm against it, I'm human 1st. The Johns are taking advantage of the candy and getting whatever they can for their rent money.

It seems Native women, prostitutes, gays and drug addicts are easy fodder for serial killers as authorities are generally too apathetic to look into their deaths. They just apprehended a serial killer in Toronto that had been killing gay men for years because police just labelled them missing and wrote them off.

It's pathetic. I wish I knew then what I know now.

The only time I paid for a prostitute was when I was in Canada many yrs ago on a "thrill" trip. She was quite lovely, but we never bumped uglies or even kissed. We sat and talked all night and she told me her story. Why she confided in me, I'll never know.

don't bother. i once tried to talk down a friend who always thought the waitress was flirting with him by pointing out that she was just being nice and friendly for a tip because, duh, that's how that shit works. he would not listen.

luckily he was a coward, so that kept it from escalating from pathetic to creepy.

The first sentence would have sufficed, but you are correct, and it’s far too late that one has risen above the creepy line.

If you want to help us save our lives, then get us off the streets. Change the laws so we can call the cops, and report the ones we Know have the potential for sexually motivated violence. We honestly don't have enough power to change the situation from the bottom. We need politicians who are able to support us, openly in Congress without fear of their dirty little secret coming out. Because it's illegal, because it could threaten their jobs to admit to engaging in illegal sexual behavior.

Think about that. We risk our lives, brutal murder just to do our jobs, because lawmakers won't risk their jobs by admitting that there's nothing wrong with prostitution.

The only problem here is nobody wants to admit it. There's no shame in it, it's not a crime. To pay for sex, the crime here is nobody wants to talk about it, so we can't.

Not always, most PD's I've interacted with take every homicide as serious as any other. Especially in major metro areas where you never know who is who.

The big issue is people living those kinds of lifestyles are exposed to a lot of opportunities to become victims, most of the people in their communities distain cops and would never cooperate even if they did know something. So cases run cold just like the black drug dealer who got plugged for his stash.....just short of some kind of break or a witness coming forward there isn't much cops can do about it.

Compare this to the suburbs where people are not openly engaging in high risk activities and are more than happy to cooperate with the popo's. They STILL lose folks and have cold cases....but they have a much lower rate of victimization and a higher rate of success in resolving the cases that don't go well. Almost always because the community around the victim comes foreword with info and does anything they can to help.

Policing is a community activity, if the community doesn't participate the cops are fucking worthless.

Except, "Gangland" murders are almost impossible to investigate, because every potential witness can be arrested for guilt by association. "Did you know she was a prostitute?"
...

"Uh," ...

"Just a serious" as any other crime, so they have Homicide, and Vice Squads. Instead of just Homicide. It's not the same murder. It's not even the same kind of murder, no matter how "Seriously" they take it, it's criminals being killed for being criminals. It's "Gangland"murder because we can't just have sex for money.

It is treated like any other rape, though. Taken just as seriously, only we have one extra special reason why we Can't legally report it. We have to DIE for it to be investigated in the first place. Otherwise, we're not taken seriously as victims. We're criminals, or we're Bodies.

It shouldn't have to take a coroner for the police to investigate them, instead of us. How many of those Toronto Johns are questions about their misogynistic terrorist leanings? I don't know, I don't live in Toronto, but they're arresting johns to prevent prostitutes, not protect women.

That's still fucked up.

Yeah, but you know what? They call the cops because there's a whore on their block, not because there's a child molester in their home. It should be a community activity, but it isn't. Not in my world it isn't. If it was, we wouldn't need Pimps for "Protection."

The problem of disappearing Native women and children had grown to such an extent that Indigenous Canadians banded together and protested creating a media frenzy and forcing the government to start addressing the problem by creating a MMIWG (Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Girls) National Inquiry. Not sure if you've heard of the Highway of Tears.

So,ya, systemic racism does play a part in how investigations are treated here. Highway of tears is one example, there are many others.

So now we're supposed to treat crack whores and prostitutes with respect? Lol

It's a joke. Murdering a prostitute is the punchline of a sick joke. It's as routine as changing gears for some men. Famous ones, international role models.

It's fucking disturbing and disgusting. One of my son's friend was pimped out by her own crack addicted mother at the age of twelve. The most disturbing part of this scenario are the numerous men that violated and exploited a twelve year old. Ha ha really fucking funny

quit hanging out with shitty people.

ALL human beings deserve respect.
You're fucked if you think a 12 yr. old doesn't deserve our sympathy and respect.
Alas, being social animals, humans build social heirarchies, reflected in "kiss-up, kick down" behaviors, and having inferior people to lord over and abuse. Sure, I'm superior, a better person than a crack whore!
