tornados

I've heard the Tornado alarms going off in Texas and man oh man, they are scary

Well you should know that its pretty damn sad that it goes off right after the tornado has done its damage...Now that is a bitch

I know this. The night I heard it, the worst of the storm had already passed through. It was about 1/2 hour too late.

It's odd really. Scary true story.

I live next to a military post. The tornado warnings on post went off. 20 minutes later the tornado warnings in the town, which is butted up right next to post, went off. About 1 minute late 4 tornadoes touched down 3 miles south of town. The post is north of town.

The post shared this information with the town. The town, relying on antiquated national weather service services, ignored the post who was using state of the art military weather tracking equipment.

The military has technology that will help lengthen the amount of warning time people get, and they are, from what I hear, willing to share with the civilian community. I'm wondering what's the hold up.

First I think we need that high tech equipment in each town.due to the fact..That the best warning level is the best...Yes there are some stupid fucks that do not listen to the warnings what so ever..I find this sad ...But what I find more lacking is the warning systems...That they should go off 5minns after the tornado has done its damage and left ...what is really sad is that the town I live in. is run by a bunch of village idiots....

Tornado sirens are creepy. I mean, they are pretty much a bad omen that something is coming that can destroy you. But everytime there's a tornado nearby, I just get on my roof and watch for it. To this day, I still haven't seen one in person.

You dont want to..it's scary shit :(

I was surprised that hardly anywhere in Texas has basements.
I do know they tell you to get into your bathtub with your matress over you.

Scary stuff.

The lack of basements has something to do with the consistency of the ground, or so I'm given to understand.

It's very scary. I was once driving with my family across a rural Nebraska highway and watched 8 tornodoes frolic on the horizon. Too damned close for my comfort. I only want to see tornadoes in the movies.
