Not a very good picture of one. It passed east of me today about 10 miles away. It never did touch ground around here, so it stayed white and hard to spot. just above and to the left of the telephone pole you may spot it.

A common occurence in the Midwest

hundreds pass thru each year.....very few actually touch down and do any real damage.

Have only ever seen one and that went right through our tent city in ontario one year. It blew our big military tents as far as 5 miles away.

We had huge

killer storms in 1978..wiped out whole towns near here..the national guard was out to help clean up the wreckage. i have been as close as a quarter mile to them......very awesome display of power.

I've been much closer than that and ordered to stand my ground and report it's whereabouts, direction, etc.

Makes you grow up fast.

Makes you feel a little invincible when you survive.
