:D

Oh, it's all about street cred. I make half of them up and spend most of my day listening to porno bass tracks and cartoon themes.

you could have ask like a Top 10!!!

40 is a bit big.

I'm doing it too each year, but a only 10 choices.

Up of Peter Gabriel is in my Top 10 ;)

A top 10 will do fine. A top 3 is cool, too. I just tend to ramble on, and on, and on, and on...

good lists

Not the typical BS the record companies push, like the Great M&M. What a load of bullocks his "talent" is.

Great list, although the dislike of New Garage acts seems very, very obvious.

Also, It's light on hip-hop. Eminem, Common and Nas deserve a place on that list.

The new garage thing hasn't rubbed me the right way...I gave it a go but it falls flat for me.

And I'm usually embarassingly light on hip-hop. I find a few bands and stick with them. If only A Tribe Called Quest still made records. (Nas is a good call.)

But good calls through and through. Definitely exhibit A for anyone who says there ain't good music being made.

That's what we love about you, Waxy.

You mean it's not all about the clay dog? Or my ability to accessorize pumps and bracelets?

I'm so disillusioned.

Doh. I just realized I put Pedro the Lion in there twice. It's a top 39, I s'pose.

A shorter list this year. And I notice I'm again light on the hip to the hop (Outkast isn't really a rap record, and picking Fitty is cliche').

I thought the newest 311 album was one of my favorites of the year. But the new A Perfect Circle was a great album too. Quite a few good discs came out.. I couldn't decide the top ones if I'd wanted to.

I'm a devoted Radiohead fan - ever since I heard Creep back in the early 90's. I got Hail the day it came out, listened to it for a few weeks, but it never stuck with me. I really liked Amnesiac and just about wore out my copy of KidA, but this one still comes across as lifeless.
