When I began writing a bit over two and half years ago, my goal was to write a book. It didn't matter if it got read, much less published. I just wanted to write a book.

Today that goal was reached. The final chapter in my 290,000 word Montana Summer series posted and concluded the series.

Well, that was my horn toot...if you've got something you want to toot your own horn about, be my guest...

You're an Iron Man!

Well done! 290,000 words is a feat of endurance, as well as imagination. Treat yourself to something/someone to celebrate the achievement!

Congratulations, Deacon Moon. Fill thy chalice full of the FCBB's sacramental wine, or indulge in some sacred weed, or both.

Then after you recover from the celebration, figure out how to turn that sucker into a trilogy and start contacting some publishers. The writing's too good to let it languish on your hard drive.

Rumple Foreskin

That is one heck of an achievement, Drkside! Congratulations indeed!

That's quite an achievement and Like the Rev said get it out there and see who wants it. Publishers that is. Ya never know and it would be a shame to spend all that time and not go the few extra steps.

Congrats and now I got some reading to do I see :nana: :nana:

A book? With 290,000 words, you got yourself a trilogy there, buddy. Congratulations!

Kids happy so thats all I can toot right now. Would rather say congrats to you though   :rose: :rose:

Jumping on the band wagon to say congrats! (Or is that stagecoach...)

Congratulations, cowboy! A "great job!" from the good little witch.

Awesome Drk !!!!

I know what you've been through!

Congratulations - and keep on writing!

You deserve every accolade, Drk. Writing 290,000 words of drivel is hard enough (I'm assuming), but that many words of quality is quite the accomplishment. Congratulations.

So now you're starting the next one, right? :D

As a matter of fact, I have. An adventure/romance set in Africa in the early 1900's.
I'm setting my sights low on this one, my goal is 100,000 words.

You've heard my thoughts on this before....I agree with Rumple.

So, are you going to submit it for publication?

No, too much would have to be changed to make it palatable for publication.

It will just remain here on Lit for anyone to enjoy...

You added those last two zeros by mistake, right? A little too long on the key...?
