I'm exited. Dug out all my fishing stuff before I left for work. My last license was from 2009. Its neen far too long. Hopefully I can get a big tasty walleye

the fun part is in the doing - catching a fish can be great, or disturbing
fished once, and caught one on my first cast. i was horrified at how the poor thing was throwing itself around on the gritty bank, eyes bulging, gills gaping. couldn't get it back into the water fast enough and felt really guilty. it doesn't stop me appreciating the pleasure of the pastime, the relaxation, maybe a beer or two, peace and serenity and stuff, or being amazed at the huge specimens some people catch. and the eating part - well, i like that bit, too
