Toe pointing problem

I have a weird habit of pointing my toes when masturbating. I've gotten so I can't reach a second or third orgasm without lots of tension in my legs. The problem is it's too much tension. My ankles are quite sore after, and I worry about damaging them. Any suggestions on what to do about it?

First of all, I doubt very much that you'll damage anything just by adding that tension. Second, I don't think you're alone in tensing up prior to orgasm. I think at worst, you'll just strengthen those muscles. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

may sound silly but try stretching before and after...or maybe just incorporate some yoga into your uh, routine... maybe some yoga that involves a bit of soft touching. May help build up the excitement even more...

I am a toe pointer too. Surf1's suggestion of stretching those muscles is smart, in general and for your specific issue. I have an unconscious habit of moving my ankles in a kind of circlular way when I'm just watching TV etc. - making yours stronger might be a key.

For me things like this can get into my head in a problematic way. If you're focusing on the tension you might try to refocus on something else.

I can personally orgasm easier if I straighten my legs and point my toes, it never damaged anything that I know of.

Temp, you got me thinking and I realized that I do the exact same thing, and sometimes I have to do a little stretching (tense and relax, tense and relax) to get the tension to go away afterwards. I frankly think it helps me during, but that could just be me. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I think every woman does it when they orgasm. part of the way our body reacts to all the pleasure, maybe?

Well, the way to release tension is to stretch. I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure the toe pointing is an uncontrollable thing. I just stretch after and orgasm.....nice way to come down from it.

Stretching seems to help. I was only worried because sometimes my legs hurt for hours after. Thanks everyone.

I have a related question.

I tend to masturbate laying/lying (too lazy to figure out right one) on my stomach and tensing my legs usually helps me climax. However, I *never* climax during sex and I wonder if part of the problem could be that I'm so conditioned to tensing my legs (stretched out) to climax when masturbating that I can't achieve that tension to help with a sex-with-another-person climax. (And I freely acknowledge that there could be other contributing factors.)

I don't have any experience with sex, but can't you tense your legs the same way during it? Otherwise, the best solution is to condition yourself away from leg tensing while alone. Keeping your legs bent at all times will help disassociate the unconscious connection between tension and orgasm. It might be very difficult at first, but giving up and indulging is likely to make the connection stronger.

A lot of people use leg tension in the masturbation technique. No problem. Use the leg tension, but back off the toe pointing or whatever it is you're doing that hurts. You don't have to back off it permanently, just do so for a month or so. Then try it the old way again and you're probably good to go. You probably just hyper-extended the joint a little bit and given enough time to heal, it probably will go back to normal for you.

Relax.

temp, do you wear heels a lot or run? If so, one or both of those combined with the toe-pointing might really be stressing the tendon.

And I will start practicing masturbating while on my back and see how that goes. :D

I'm too tall for heels, and I don't run. I've always been rather inflexible, so I'm pretty sure I just needed to stretch a bit.

Curl'em

I always thought the one for sure way to tell it was a good orgasm was if you or your partners toes curled during orgasm.

I know my partner has had a particularly good time when I've made his "coes turl" -- he can't even say it right when it's that good. LOL.
