Top 10 in the Poetry List
Checking in at the top. No biggie, let's
just see what we have got!
1. Holding on by Robski
http://literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=36420
I liked this poem. Why? Because it speaks of
moving on, seeing the sunshine, letting go of the
past and moving on. It is simple but true for me.
I did feel that the lack of continuous rhyme did let
this poem down though.
<snip>
The memories finally fade from my mind,
To the heartache I shall now become blind,
I shall never again live in fear,
Block out the truth; shed no more tears,"
(I shall not go on living in my fears? Might be better)
<snip>
"I shall no longer turn away and run,
I know that I can and will overcome,
I’m stronger now than ever before,
All of my troubles I banish out of the door,"
2. One love by Robski
http://literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=36419
Simple poem, sad and much meaning in a few words.
3. Cloud dancing by Lenti
http://literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=41379
I really liked this poem.
"Slip your earthly tethers my love
And
Spread your wings to soar into the sky
I wait for you there"
*sigh* If one could simply be free of our bodies and fly. Sounds good to me as long as I can return to the Earth every now and then! I loved lenti's use of words. The format of the poem was interesting to. Would love to know why it has been written
the way it has.
4. Under your star by Lenny
http://literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=39348
I liked this poem too. Short but well written.
"Noiseless city pauses as wind whispers abate"
Very clever. "A silent city?" Must be late at night/ the wee
hours of the morning."Wind whispers abate"? A windy night but now all is still.
Few words written but many meant. I could take a few tips from this poet!
5. Musings#2 by Lenny
http://literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=40024
These musings of Lenny's need only to be commented on once.
A very short musing. I have these myself occassionally. Again I say few words, much meaning.
"Mists of one's youth pass,
Tears of today linger on,
'morrow brings one hope. "
6. Musings#1 By Lenny
http://literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=40023
7. In my hands by Lenny
http://literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=39349
I liked this poem but felt the lack of capitals detracted from the words.
"in my hands, i hold out my heart
to one as wonderful as you. "
8. Love dreamer by Lenti
http://literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=41081
Wow! I really liked this one. Images of her lover in my mind.
Bravo!
9. Musings#5 by Lenny
http://literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=40027
10. Bitter end by RisiaSkye
http://literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=36979
Whoa, RisiaSkye has a great way with words. I feel the hurt. *ow*
"Folding, collapsing, crumbling inside
I'm choking, I tell you,
on your secrets and lies."
I have been here, too many times.
I really enjoyed my perusal of today's top list.
And will be back for more.
