He is 27 today, exactly 30 years and a day younger than me. He is a teacher, a writer, a poet and the sweetest, kindest young man I know. I am so proud of him! Just thought I would share that with you.

Blue.. smiling sweetly... that is priceless. Congrats on living long enough to see your son to this point.

Little boy Blue, come blow your horn.....
You came to the right place. Have a happy one!

Sending a big Happy Birthday wish to your son. You have every right to be proud of him & you should probably be proud of yourself, as well. Raising kids is never easy, but so worth it in the long run. Congratulations!!!! If your birthdays are a day apart, does that mean we need to wish you a Happy Birthday as well? Just in case I am not here tomorrow, have a great day!

Happy Birthday Mr. Blues son :D

Have a good one and remember to always be a good boy for Daddy :)

Happy Birthday.

Hell yes be proud blue. Anyone that is 27 and has the sensitivity to be a teacher, writer AND a poet is most remarkable. Congratulations to you both.

Happy birthday to you both.

Wow!!! I just wanted to thank everyone for all
the warm birthday greetings. I don't usually post,
which is why this message is coming in so late. But
I do like to check periodically and read my pop's postings.
They definitely serve as new insights into the way his mind works. I think this web site has unlocked something in him he never knew existed, and that's pretty damn powerful. So keep on posing the tuff questions, and Old Blue will try and answer them for you--the best he knows how. Cheers.

Whoops! Glad I kept reading, I was about to make a crack about Baby Blue (don't take it personally, I owe your dad for a furball comment ;) )

Happy Birthday!

If the son is anything like the father, I'm sure dad has every reason to be proud. :)

That's my boy!!!!

We have never had a "Leave it to Beaver" kind of relationship. Never much for sitting in front of the fireplace with a plate of brownies and hot chocolate. But we sure have gotten to know each other in a very loving way. I'm not saying that we don't have our differences. I'm just saying that we deal with them in a loving, rather the a fearful manner.

You see, my father died when I was 20. This is all new ground for me, and I cherish every day that I have. (I am now 6 years older than my father was when he died. I'm enjoying the time for both of us.

Ah, life. Ain't it the Ritz!!!
