A late-season snow and unseasonably cold air is headed for Southcentral Alaska and Anchorage.

If snow accumulates this week and into the weekend, Anchorage will set several new seasonal snowfall records... while adding several inches of snow to the higher terrain.

Weather Advisory For Snow...which Is In Effect From 7 Pm Friday To 1
Pm Akdt Saturday.

* Snow...3 To 6 Inches With Greatest Amounts At Higher Elevations

* Timing...snow Will Begin To Accumulate After 7 Pm Friday And
Taper Off To Rain And Snow Showers Early Saturday Afternoon.

* Impacts...travel Will Be Difficult. Visibilities May Be Limited
In Heavy Snowfall.
 
...the Flood Warning Remains In Effect Until 430 Pm Akdt Saturday For
The Yukon River At Eagle...

An Ice Jam Formed Downstream Of Eagle Overnight Causing Water Levels
To Rise And Has Produced Minor To Moderate Flooding Adjacent To The
River.

Water Levels Rose Overnight Covering The Road To Old Village As Well
As Moving Into At Least One Structure Near The River. Water Levels
Have Now Started To Come Down Somewhat...but The Levels Will
Continue To Fluctuate.

Property Near The River Is Still Subject To Flooding Until The Ice
Goes Completely Out And The Ice Jam Below Eagle Releases.
 
None at all here. No rain, no wind, no snow. 47 degrees. Still gloomy though. The Pinot should help.
