Some folk cannot live without turndown service. I don't judge.

But, if you have time for Lit, you have time to use google or expedia, etc. to find out pricing for lodging the way you like it.

Camping on the beach is still free in a lot of places. And citizens of the USA are allowed to pitch a tent in a national forest at no charge.

This I've heard. ... And I'm a Norcal country woman, I like to camp. In fact, I worked for the Park Service for 13 years... state parks, not national.

Thanks you two. I have been scouring the internet for Alaska info, but I tend to get stuck on the picture sites, and the fishing videos. :rolleyes:

I particularly liked the Mackey Snoop Dog reference. Like that was any surprise. To no one, but him.

He and I used to frequent the same dive bar. And now I don't even know what he placed in the Iditarod. :eek:

When I worked for the State long ago, I hired his dad and Joe Redington to do a little field work that could supposedly only be done with dogs. At the time, dogs were prolly the best bet. Now, Skidoo's are much better in the snow than they used to be.
