To splurge or not to splurge, that is the question

My big question for the day...to splurge on a new car or not to splurge, that is the question. Whether tis better to zoom zoom with the road runners or meander at a stately pace, whether to thrill at tightly wrought curves, or sway in silent bordom, whether to exhilerate at a fast leap of a cat, or to suffer the intermintable acceleration of a sloth, that is the question.

Mmmmm, we'll see, won't we.

Now my truck has over a quarter million miles and still runs like a champ. But I like money in the bank. To each his own, I suppose...

just don't buy on impulse...look, look, look...make sure you are getting what you want and won't look back with any regrets.

And just what ARE you looking at today?

I've been keeping my eye on this car for a year now and have shopped and shopped and compared and compared. I did a bunch of test drives over the past week to be sure and this is the one that I want.

I test drove a new Nissan Altima with the 3.5 liter engine and 240 HP, it didn't feel like a sports car though. It felt like an economy car with a little extra umph. Not that much extra umph though. My old Eclipse GTX Turbo had much more kick and had 50 less HP.

This car is the kind that I'll want to keep for a long time. I don't want another kind of car. I've always had a standard transmission and a car with guts. Two years ago when my darling little Eclipse got run over by a rookie truck driver, I decided to get a "practical" car with an automatic. Piffle on practical cars and piffle on auto transmissions. This new one is a sports car with four doors, four seats (five in a pinch) 5 speed, leather, AWD and a 6.6 second 0-60. I don't need a truck.

I've got an appointment tomorrow and I'm buying it if I can get the deal I want.

Okay, now I'm jealous as hell.

I saw some clips from ummm some big European auto show (think it was in the UK), and they had a green jag. Green. Really green. Not that stately Jag green. So green you could eat it for lunch. So shiny the Defense Department could reflect lazer beams off of it for Star Wars Missle Defense.

Damn I want that car!

Lioness

I'm getting the bronzy, gold color with the camel colored interior.
