To AV or not to AV

I realize that we're all out here to have fun and enjoy ourselves which is why I'm having to block the showing of AVs.

The majority of them are either classy, sensual or funny but there are some that just make me want to cry every time I see them. Two of these are from Fagin. Obviously, taste is a relative thing which is why I choose to block AVs. Although, doing so prevents me from enjoying the ones I find appealing, I think it's the only way to continue to enjoy myself on the boards.

I apologize if I've embarrassed anyone or struck a nerve but it seems that the boards are here for saying whats on our minds as well as having fun.

I'm wondering why you couldn't have gotten your point across without singling one person out and perhaps embarrassing him? I mean I've seen some downright nasty ones, but I didn't feel the need to create a thread about it. If you don't like 'em, just don't look at 'em, or do what you did and block the av's.

I know of one other poster that gingerly danced around the subect with fagin but he kept it up... and rightly so. That's his absolute right.

My intent is not to make a federal case out of this, it's only an observation of mine and I simply voiced it. Honesty is the best policy is it not?

trust me.... Fagin's AV's are QUITE tame compared to MANY others around Lit. You haven't been here long.... just wait. You'll see what I'm talking about soon enough

This site is about freedom of expression and to my mind that has to be both visual as well as written. What an individual chooses to post as their av is up to them. It took me ages to have the bottle to change from a fake one (the blue pic of a slim naked lady for anyone whole might remember) to a real one of me. My breasts are my only asset in my own opinion, though I know there are plenty of people who like BBWs I don't like my shape and won't post anything else because of it.

My only problem with av's come when someone takes mine and adds "extras" and adopts it for their own use. One of these people is a friend, a good friend, who knows me and I have no problem with his short term use. The other barely knows me, added "cum" all over it and used it for a relatively long period of time. Knew I should have copyrighted it

The whole thing is silly. Why do some people take AV's so seriously? I cant tell you how many people knock my AV choices....and why? Just becaues I don't see the ponit of putting up a picture of myself naked or of just my cock. If someone wants to do that...it's fine with me. I don't feel that I should have to put up such an AV to get attention. I would much rather get my attention by being nice, respectful, a friend and a flirt.

I thought I was the only one wondering what his reason was. My AVs and signatures have been turned off since I joined. Should I start a new thread tomorrow about signatures.
