Try restoring the monarchy. There are at least two Romanov pretenders -- pick one and install him. That will put a gloss of conservative legitimacy on your coup. Of course, in the process, you can make the monarchy as constitutional as you like -- the new Tsar might reign but not rule.

Consider the example of Spain. King Juan Carlos provided the stability necessary for his country to transition from fascism to democracy.

Isn’t this illegal to encourage insurrection?
In 1848, Emperor Ferdinand I of Austria was informed the people were rebelling, and said, "Yes, but are they allowed to do that?"

(1848 was the last year of Ferdinand's reign.)

If so, Donald Trump will be going to prison--just from his pronouncements and actions in public.
Although that's definitely what he wanted, but he kept his actions and comments very vague so he wouldn't get in trouble himself.
He's very good at getting people to do illegal things for him without getting into trouble himself, like a true sociopathic con-man.

That's what the extremist right is trying to do here as much as they deny it. They want a king to rule over them them all with the pretense of democracy.

....

Only if that King is Elvis...

I would welcome a restoration of the Romanov Dynasty, provided that the new Czar is only a figurehead monarch. His power should be restricted to ceremonial functions, like deciding who to invite to state dinners, what is to be served, and so on. From time to time he should inspect the troops, and do stuff like that.

In 1914 Czar Nicholas was a constitutional monarch, who shared power with a democratically elected Duma. He still had enough power to stumble into World War I. The new flag could combine the Communist Hammer and Sickle with the Czarist Crest. That would symbolize reconciliation and respect for Russia's past.

Russia is blessed with abundant natural resources and an intelligent and well educated people. The Russian people need and deserve a good government.

We'll see. I've seen/heard him go over the line frequently. He relying on being above the law. So far he has been. We shall see.
