'Land whales' is a term that is showing up more and more online, and it needs to be meta-banned. Whoever came up with it should be banned from the fucking internet for life. Or at least until they are proven to have escaped puberty.

Don't know about misogyny… The paradox is, I encountered it more often in the 'new world' countries aka Au, US.
And contrary to the bullshit views and statistics that you read on the internet, many -non-english- european countries have moved beyond that.
(or that's my personal impression)

It's strange, since the same 'new world' countries also provide a better standard of living & more individual options than many European countries do.
Plus 'nw' people seem to be less meddling into one's personal life aka less conservative from that point of view.

Some racists, homophobes, misogynysts exist because that's just the way they are, or for other personal reasons

but in many other cases - not entirely their fault: it's the way they've been raised or
they've seen people act around them.
We're all socially embedded. See in the US : North vs. South Or East vs. West (not sure exactly which one)
