Of all the stories you have written and submitted to Lit, which story brought you the most joy from writing? Granted, the one chapter that brought me the most personal joy is neither the highest rating story I have nor the one with the most comments. As a matter of fact, it isn’t even the first chapter in its respected series.
I keep asking myself what it is about that one particular chapter I like so much: the mood, the emotion, the tenderness, the sensuality, the overall feel to the chapter, or my writing ability, etc. I shouldn’t worry about it, though. Years from now, if I still submit stories, I may find another story taking its place. It’s doubtful. Putting so much time, effort, and passion into one single chapter, however, has its rewards yet drawbacks as well.
Honestly, I may never know exactly why I like one particular story I’ve written more than the rest. I just know that it is part of a series, a period in my life where I felt great joy - joy that I was able to convey and share with others.
