I need a title for my NaNo, and y'all are so brilliant, I just know that you can help me.

The storyline is about the fulfillment of an old indian prophecy, and in the prophecy, it states that "the Great Spirit will grab the earth, not with one hand this time, but with both hands, and shake it."

Help?

Shake, rattle, and Roll

Sorry I couldn't resist....

I am seriously thinking about it now.... off to do some research....

"Spirit's Fury"

"Spirit's Wrath"

"Spirit's Gonna Fuck You Up"... ok, maybe not that one.

okay, longer explanation....here's the last part of the prophecy:

"Now they are talking about the sign for the third shaking of the earth. They're going to build what the elders called the house in the sky. They will build a house and throw it in the sky. When you see people living in the sky on a permanent basis, you will know that the Great Spirit is about to grab the earth, this time not with one hand, but with both hands.

At this time, there will be villages in this land so great that when you stand in the villages you will not be able to see out - these are called villages of stone, or prairies of stone.

At the center of each and every one of these villages will be native people, and they will walk as hollow shells upon a prairie of stone. Some of these people will begin to leave these prairies of stone, and come home to take up some of the old ways.

There's going to come a time when in the morning, the sun is going to rise, and this village of stone will be there, but in the evening there would just be steam coming from the ground.

There is going to be another attempt to make a circle of the human beings here on earth. And this time the native people will not have to petition to join, but will be invited to enter the circle. If the circle is completed, and the wisdom of the four races shared among the people, there will be peace on earth.

If not, then the Great Spirit will shake the earth a third time."

What part of the prophesy do you intend to make the core of you rwork Cloudster?

From my point of view, anything written about native peoples and their eligion should have a very simple and to the point title. It needs to be elegantand deep at the same time.

How bout

The Old Ways?

I guess I can tell the ending. ;) At the end of the story, after lots and lots of death and hard times, the circle will be completed (it takes place a good bit in the future).

In the myths and legends of several different tribes I've come across something very similar to this but at the moment I can't find the reference.... There is a specific name for this legend or prophesy.....

I'll keep looking.....

it's the Hopi prophecy. :)

"Full Circle" or "What May Come"

Taken from your own words, "Villages of Stone" or "Hollow Shell"

Circle of Hope

Finial Joy

"With Both Hands This Time"
or
"With Both Hands"

Funny looking kid in the back of the classroom waves his hand.

"Ms Cloudy! Ms Cloudy! After reading the prophecy you quoted, "the Great Spirit will grab the earth, not with one hand this time, but with both hands, and shake it," I had an idea.

The funny looking kid goes back to rolling spit balls.
