Tinks Lamp

More Holiday lore for you.
Holly – The evergreen of the Holly leaves represents the hope of winter survival in celebrations of the winter solstice throughout the Old World. It is also, of course, representative of the Holly King (Father Christmas/Santa Claus). Many consider the thorny-leafed holly to be male and the smooth-leafed holly to be female. Because of this, whichever variety is first brought into the home during the holidays determines which gender will lead the household during the coming year

Don't leave me to the Krampus!

While I am uncomfortable promoting myself, I confess that I am pretty excited to let you know that I have just posted my first story to Lit and I am hoping it gets enough readers, and Voters, to qualify for the Christmas competition.

I cannot take complete credit for it, as I had an awesome editor -thanks, Lynn- and I would buy each and every one of you a Lit- beverage of your choice if you would check it out and give it the score you believe it merits.

If you like it PLEASE send the link to your friends.

This is a timed competition and if I do not get at least 25 readers before Dec 14 I risk a visit from Krampus, which is much worse than coal in my stocking!

Thanks so much!!!!! :)

An Unexpected Christmas
