The traitors think they are tough. But if the legal system refuses to do their job...there are better ways to deal with Fascist traitors. Congress doesn't have the power to jail anyone (or even prosecute them). They have the power to refer cases to the Attorney General's office, but that's it. No one is going to jail as a result of the hearings (unless they try refer someone for perjury or a process crime).
A person could have stood outside and high fived everyone and they won't be convicted of anything.
That is just now how the laws work. Incitement to riot (the strongest available charge) is settled case law. It requires "immediate", "specific" and "explicit" to be incitement. You could be standing a hundred feet away holding a sign that says "Congress Must Burn" and you'd walk away free.
I'm curious to see what the hearing turns up, but not expecting anything we haven't already heard. Anyone who thinks they're at legal risk is simply going to lawyer up and take the fifth.

Trump is not going to jail no matter how complicit he is found, for a couple of reasons.
1. It would set a precedent where other presidents could be sent to prison and the way american politics is these days, every other president would be sent to jail for war crimes.
2. It would cause a civil war with how divided yank land is these days.
The best they could do is make it so he couldn't hold a position in govt. ever again

The penalties for and the charges against the dupes and rubes that participated in the radical right insurrection based on the Big Lie is very different from the Seditionists that TOLD the Big Lie.
Trump, Giuliani, Mo Brooks, Katrina Pierson, Amy Kremer, Vernon Jones, Ken Paxton, Lara and Eric Trump, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr., Madison Cawthorn and John Eastman are the Seditionists. An there are probably others that could be charged.
And the DOJ has said Mo "The Dope" Brooks was not acting in his official capacity on Jan 6 and so Salwell's case will be moving forward against him.
I'm looking forward to Trump's and Jordan's testimony before the Committee.
I doubt he will get any jail time for the stuff he is being investigated for. I suspect the Tax issues with New York will just result in fines. Unless they can tie into a RICO type case, the Trump organisation will just plead guilty, get fined, and drag out paying said fines forever.
What I am looking forward to, is how Trump figures he can pay off his debts that start coming due in 2024....I'm betting he will use his PAC to pay them, instead of a run for President.....
I suspect they will get subpoenaed but I doubt Trump will show.
I am not sure, last time a whole bunch of people of Trump's administration failed to appear when summoned.
However, I think I would pay to see Trump in front of the committee.....even if all he said was "I plead the fifth amendment" to every question.....*chuckles*

If found in Contempt of Congress they (the Speaker I think) have to turn to the U.S. Attorney of the District of Columbia. The duty of the U.S. Attorney is to refer the matter to a grand jury for action. But that would be for Trump or any other non-member of Congress.
A member - like Jordan - can be rounded up by the Sargent at Arms and compelled to appear.
