Time Magazine's Man of the Year.

I vote for Jeezus.

I think GWB's war campaign was really a most newsworthy person of the year campaign.

Powell saved the civilised world, he probably won't get a cover for it tho.

Ugh, good question.

I really can't see it being anyone other than George W. Bush. The world has revolved around him, from the State of the Union speech in January to the current tussle over Iraq right now.

Yahoo!'s person of the year was GWB, too, though they picked about the dumbest picture they could find of him:

Ok if anything could convince me that there is a liberal media bias it is that they seem to pick the worst pictures for conservative politicians.

Hmmm...

I would want that secretive and oft silent MANU.

Yep...our lit...uh...person, yeah, thats the ticket...person of the year...Numero Uno. A number one, top dog, big kahuna, Manu.

Jimmy Carter, or maybe Fidel Castro

Sorry, forgot to say why.
Carter for winning the Nobel Peace Prize. Arafat got one, too.
Castro for providing "free" medical care to Cubans. Now, if they only had the money to buy some medicine …

My real guess is that Time will surprise us — maybe Tony Blair, maybe Donald Rumsfield, maybe Colin Powell. Hell, they might even choose Saddam Hussein.

Carter. The rare occasion of an American getting a 'peace' prize is reason enough.

Kofi Annan. Working hard for peace and successfully avoiding (so far) an oil war.

Ronaldo. Doesn't matter what short list he shows up on, or how underqualified he may be, he just wins.
