Time from submission to posting?

Hello, how long does it usually take for a story to be posted after submission?

I am by no means an expert, but my last story took about 20 days to post ;-)

Right now it depends on how you submitted your story. You may have noticed the new scripts running the site. They just replaced them and the scripts slowed everything down creating up to a ten week backlog, sometimes longer. If you submitted a story recently in the new scripts, it won't take nearly as long as if you'd emailed it to submit@literotica. Right now, about 2+ weeks seems to be the going rate. Soon, everyone hopes, she'll get all the backlog cleaned up and the rate will be 24-48 hours.

It is also going to depnd on what format your submission is in. Cut and paste into the text box should take less than a week. Submitting a text file shouldn't be much longer than cut and paste.

If you have Italics, bold, underline, or other special formatting, you need to submit in Word or RTF format, and that is going to take two to three weeks because Laurel has to do more to approve the story and get it into the database.

At present, I do not see the cut and paste working any faster although I submitted during the time of change and that may have something to do with it. Be patient. Three weeks,a month. Like having a baby...

Lately poems have been posted very quickly. Almost the next day. Once the backlog is erased, I imagine the stories will post quickly also. I guess they do have to be read first. I wouldn't want that job.

I submitted a cut and paste on 1/3/01, and it was up there the next day, YMMV.
