I was recently told that I was born with a tilted uterus. Unfortunately, the way I found out was pain during sex. I was wondering if any of the women have one, and what positions are the most comfortable for him not hitting it. PLEASE HELP ME, ANY ADVICE WILL BE APPRECIATED.

i TOO have a tilted uterus :(

Mine is tilted as well....

positions like doggie or anything rear entry is better for me....

missionary is painful unless my legs are over his shoulders...

hope this helps?

at least to know you're not alone!

 K

Doggie and spooning hurt the worst for me, and I enjoy missionary the best, lol. Guess ours are tilted different sides. But at least I know that someone else has to deal with it. Thanks for the help.

I also have a tilted uterus. Sex was always painful for me after I got pregnant with our first son, but I didn't know the cause until I got pregnant this time and the doctor told me. I've read that it can be fixed, something my husband and I are going to look into after this baby's born. He's always worried that he's hurting me, and many times I don't want to have sex because I know it's going to hurt. My favorite position is me on top...it still hurts, but the pleasure we get is worth it. :)

My wife's is tilted as well, fortunately I'm a bit curved....a match made in heaven. :) I know it's not the answer to your questions though, but I hurt those that weren't tilted.....so, you're not really alone at all.

Hotred, I heard there is a procedure, however my doctor contradicts and says there is nothing I can do. Do you know what it's called? Is it called uplift?

Sorry, I can't remember the name for the procedure, but I found it doing a search through yahoo under tilted uterus. I'll see if I can find again for you though.

I had one.

Notice the word had.

I had to have a hysterectomy when I was 25.

Once it was gone, there was absolutely no more pain. At all.

It was like a switch just cut off all the pain.

It may sound drastic, but it works.

Yeah that does sound drastic. I read about a procedure called the uplift procedure, where they go through you belly button, but I have A LOT of questions about it, like if insurance covers it...it's not cosmetic...so I don't know. Plus I want to know if I get the procedure done, and I decide to have children, will the pregnancy make it tilt again.

I had surgery about 25 years ago for this problem. The procedure was known then as a 'Ventro Suspension', because ligaments were used to pull the Uterus into place.

A very painful procedure.. but well worth while. I certainly solved the problem.

I have this also. But I think mine is slightly tilted, I only notice the pain once in awhile and can usually adjust positions so it doesn't hurt. I have no problem with missionary, but sometimes doggy will hit me in just the wrong way. It's probably different for each of us as to what feels best.
