I want some of whatever it is you're on.
Please.

:)

Right now I'm having a hit of organic vanilla yogurt with fresh blueberries.

RIP. I know you are going to heaven, no one who brought so much joy to so many children could be bound anywhere else.

:rose:

A little know fact about Winchell is he is one of the original inventors of an artificial heart, an automobile that runs on battery power, as well as many other inventions that are still around today.

His puppet side-kicks Jerry Mahoney and Knucklehead Smiff are now in the Smithsonian Institution.

From his biography at IMDB.com

Dammit, as much as I know we'd all like to ignore this, it has to be brought out in the open. We owe Tigger that much.

Eeyore.

Off his meds.

Stopped taking them less than a week before Tigger's death.

Coincidence?

Am I the only one that finds it difficult to mourn properly when icons like Winchell have left their legacy behind to be enjoyed for the ages? For some reason, I find myself much sadder when controversy or something of the sort tarnishes a once noble reputation. For instance, I was really moved when Mr. Rogers died, but I never fell into a bunch of sadness. I just couldn't. He was so good and did so many positive things that changed the shape of things as I know it ... Nevermind.

Note to self: Do not post before noon, as your brain is obviously not yet awake.

We're supposed to do this while awake?

Seemed like a good thought at the time, but now that I'm fully awake, I can't think of anything more coherent so...

BOING!

I sobbed off & on all day long.

Now ... I can't seem to summon the same for Tigger.

I have a theory about why you were more upset by the death of Mister Rogers than Paul Winchell.

Tigger is not actually dead; he's just mute now.

Bugs Bunny and Kermit the Frog are dead. Mister Rogers is dead. Eeyore is off his meds. But Tigger will continue to bounce silently.
