Ticketmaster can rot in hell

So about a month ago I ordered some concert tickets online from Ticketmaster. They have some limit of only ordering 4 tickets and I needed five, so I ordered one ticket from a separate account. After having got the other 4 tickets in about a month ago, I checked the status of my one ticket yesterday to find out that the order had been canceled, and now all that is left is the nosebleed seats. They didn't notify me about the cancellation, all they did was refund me but honestly I don't pay attention to my bank statements that closely.

I talked to customer service and they told me the one ticket was canceled because I went over the ticket limit. WTF? I can't even buy tickets for my friends anymore? Is that what it's come down to? They then tried to place the blame on me saying it's my fault for going over the limit and it's not Ticketmaster's fault for not notifying me about the cancellation. So in other words, Ticketmaster fucked me over and did nothing to try to fix the problem. Biggest load of bullshit I've ever heard. So it looks like I'm *not* going to the concert now because of Ticketmaster, as it would be pointless to buy a nosebleed seat while my other friends are on the floor, and I'm not about to try to get one of my friends to sell me their ticket when I'm the only one that has seen the band before.

And the icing on the cake: I got an email explaining why it was canceled and this is what it says at the bottom: "Thank you for using Ticketmaster, where we continually strive to provide World Class Service to every customer, every day! We very much appreciate your business, and hope we were able to resolve any problems or answer any questions you had. Please reply to this email if we may be of further assistance."

Looks like I am only going to be ordering from Live Nation or going to the arena box office from now on, because this makes me want to NEVER give Ticketmaster another fucking dollar.

/end rant

Ticketmaster is one of mankind's greatest evils. I hate them, too.

So, you bent Ticketmaster's policy, and that somehow is their fault?

Your right, I shouldn't have offered to take nearly $400 dollars from my friends to buy their tickets for them. I think it's bullshit TM did nothing to notify me of the cancellation, I mean geez, how difficult is it for them to understand people like to see their favorite bands with a group of people? Just another instance of TM ass raping the concert experience from music lovers.

Why didn't your friends buy their own tickets?

Why didn't you check the status of the last ticket when you received the other four about a month ago?

Sounds like you're a dumb ass.

Because I was being something called, "a good friend", rather then being a selfish bastard that told all my friends they are on their own for buying their tickets? I guess I'll have to do that next time.

And the floor sold out after a week or less, so checking my status earlier wouldn't have mattered. TM only mails you their tickets that fast if you pay them for shipping. Shock and awe.

Their ticket limit isn't a secret. It's there for a reason.

Next time you go buy tickets and all you can find are overinflated shitty seats on ebay, maybe you'll get it.

It would appear that this thread didn't turn out the way the author had intended it.

Unless you know you are 100% in the right, the GB is not the place to vent.

lol, I could care less if other posters feel differently, I'm still going to feel the same way about the scenario no matter what anyone else thinks.

My only TM complaint is the "service fee". I bought a ticket a while back to a concert...and the fucker came with a $11.50 service/handling fee. That's a bit excessive.

Not to mention they charge you to print your tickets right then and there, but will ship it to you for free if you want to wait 3 or 4 weeks to receive the ticket. Honestly I like to keep all of my tickets so printing a ticket vs shipping one for free is a no brainer to me.

There is never a shortage of idiots who feel they are in the right.

Kinda like there is never a shortage of idiots who feel the need to start internet debates and crave the attention they get from it? No thanks, I'm good.
