Ugh, I hate the sound of thunder. It's brewing out there right now. I nice big storm. One of those where the windows rattle with each thunderclap and the wind sounds like it'll bring the house down within a couple minutes. I'm scared to death and know I should go offline, but I hate being all alone when these things hit. Someone come and hold my hand while I cower under a blanket. Please?

:(

Poor SC! I could give you the same story that I give my daughter... "It's just the angels bowling up there." Did that help?

Seriously, be safe and I hope the storm passes soon for you.

I'm just a coward when it comes to storms. Even having the kids around makes it a bit easier on me. I've got a distraction, sort of. I've got to concentrate on hiding the fact I'm scared. But they're gone til Thursday, so it's just me. God, I hate being a wuss.

*reaching for blanket and hiding*

You're not a wuss. I know several people who are frightened by storms. It's a perfectly acceptable reaction. Just take some deep breaths, go to your happy place and it'll be over before you know it.

James Joyce had a life-long fear of thunderstorms. So you're in damn fine company.

I'm trying but the loud thunderclaps make it very hard. I'm trying not to rip the head off my teddybear each time one comes tho.

Good thing Ziggy's in a safe place.

That's interesting to know, but right now, ANY company would be good company if they could keep me from yelping each time another one goes off.

*shivering*

Bah, Ziggy wouldn't cut it for me. I'm a teddy bear girl myself. If it's not human, its gotta be bear.

thundered

here about all night i was awake most of it so i know hope the storm goes through soon !!!

Gotta admit I love big electrical storms - I love watching lightning & listening to the thunder but it scares my lady - always a good excuse for a cuddle xx

The pulsating power of a storm, the energy, the rhythm. Just think of it as Draco ravaging your body with wild sexual abandon!

 ;) :)

Koala, if I think about Draco too much right now, I'll be ringing NZ and my phone bill SO can't take it right now. :)

That's why I'm haging out here lurking as usual. Trying to ignore what's going on til the windows rattle and I scream.

*laughing at myself for being a coward*

I'm afraid I can't help you.. I LOVE storms. Big powerful storms are ones I can look out my window and watch for as long as they last.

btw, don't think the rest of the post will help, so if you don't like storms.. don't read on :D

I love the feeling of when thunder is so loud and so powerful that it can physically make things rattle and shake. To feel that kind of power caused by pure natural forces is amazing.

And to see the individual charges of lightning strike in the distance (key word there.. distance) instead of just repeated white flashes..

I'd be no fun if you are with me and don't like storms.. I wouldn't be able to help you. But on the bright side I wouldn't drag you to the window to watch with me.

Ah, the storm's done and over with now. I'm afraid to admit it took a long distance phone call to NZ to calm me down. I was pretty much freaking out when Draco answered his phone, but a few minutes with him can work wonders. :)
