yes, supposedly if you wear a thub ring you're gay.

I wear a silver thumb ring. Have for like 12 years. Bi here and married..This is news to me though!!!

Never heard anything of the sort.. i know guys who are straight as a nail - and wear them :)

Heard on the```

Heard this (read it actually) on the RedClouds board...just curious.

well then...guess I've been advertising that I'm bisexual to the world for over a year now...lol and here I thought I was being so damned stealthy about it.:p

I think it's a regional thing. Southern men aren't nearly as into jewelry as northern men, though that's changing, especially among the younger ones. A few years ago I was visiting my daughter in Pittsburgh and was surprised by how much jewelry the guys wore, much more so than in the south. Not just young and dishy guys, but middle-aged mechanics with earrings in both ears and other people who you wouldn't see sporting that much jewelry in say, North Florida. I bought a book or a CD or something while I was up there and was waited on by a guy wearing rings on this thumbs. My daughter assured me he was probably straight.

I wear them myself, because I think they look good on me. I took one of them off last night and threaded it onto the end of my belt--we had a couple of guest martial arts instructors in my TKD class--they were Hapkido specialists, and were teaching us how to break people's holds on your wrists. I found that the ring with the sharpest edges was marking up my partner's wrist in practice. I suppose I should take my rings off in class--my instructors are always getting on my case about it.

I heard this from a group I used to belong to marriedbimoms. My sister took hers off as soon as she found out lol.

I am Bi and very proud of it.

Again, it must be regional. I've worn thumb rings for several years now, and I haven't been hit on by another woman since 1978.

Well ive been wearing them for about 20yrs and ive never heard that they label you as any sexuality.

Handkerchief messaging yep, know about that.
Earrings on males left or right yep, that too.
V neck T shirts even, but no never thumb rings.

Im from England though, so different culture perhaps?

Who cares though eh?

I once went out with a red leather arm band on that apparently indicated that i would like to be fisted! But hey, nobody offered anyway:D

see...there must be a culture difference, because here the red would mean you were a blood ::laughing:: although I'm not sure what the leather would mean
