Wyn and Syctherin...and Raven...~Greenland~

Watching as Scytherin leaves the cave Raven looks over at Wyn and smiles as warmly as she can at her sister. Going to Wyn now, she sits close and takes her hand in her own and looks at her.
Brushing a strand of hair that has moved too close to her face, trying to be gentle with her sister and finally seeing her after what has seemed like an eternity. Looking at her seeing the exhaustion and the lost look in her eyes...she hugs her close suddenly.
"I know what you need to do to get your quest finished and get you back home soon...but you need to trust me and so does he. Do you think he will be willing to follow my advice?"
"The native peoples of this region know of the thiungs that the goddess desires...they have no use for them...they hold no value to them...but for you and him...they are your ticket home. We have our gifts that we can decipher what we need to know from them to get the location of these treasures. But you need to regain some strength and rest now
."

Placing her sister's head into her lap, Raven stroked Wyn's head, as they all did with each other back home and hummed softly, feeling the fears and the stress leave her slowly, and soon she was asleep. Sliding her sister slowly off her lap she covered her and stood up...a wintery smile upon her face and awaited the return of Scytherin.

Watching as he returned and placed the wood that he had found in the pit and then sat down against the wall...looking like he was in deep thought.
Slowly walking over to him she pauses looking down at him smiling and then sits down close to him. He was not bad looking this Scytherin...actually kind of hot looking. Wyn didn't do too badly. This man looked like a real catch.

"I got her to rest, she needed to and she needs her strength", she spoke in soft tones as to not wake Wyn. Hoping the crackling of the growing fire was masking her voice some.

"I can help with this quest so that we can all leave this desolate place and return home again."
"There is treasure to be had here...something that I am sure would be a more than suitable gift for the Goddess...are you willing to help in getting this done
quickly
?"

As she spoke her hand landed on his thigh, absently stroking it as she spoke, not taking her eyes from him.

Captain Hans Von Ironside

Ironside loathed this part of his job. A horrible stench of decay and impurity would cover him as he entered these barracks. If he had it his way, he would simple kill them all. Burn the whole lot, make way for those who are appreciated.

At the height of the war though, some of the top soldiers were lonely, and it had become his job to find them... "company." He agreed to it, not because he liked training young girls to become profesional company for the Natzi party, but because it got him out of actual combat. Here, he was allowed to break in young souls, make them his own, twist them around his little finger and show them just how much power he controlled.

Out there, all he could do was command his troops to go kill other troops. What fun would that be?

He moved away from the children. Some of the men did like little girls and boys, but he never trained them that young. Even a Natzi had some morals. A few of the younger girls he picked out, as burly soldiers came to grab at them.

But, he did stop when he noticed the two in the corner. He might have even passed them over, had not a bunch of children been sleeping beside them. It was rare, he had never seen children sleep here the first night. They usually did out of exhaustion, but the first night was mostly where they cried for their mothers, or huddled in tiny masses, eyes wide with fear each time one of the soldiers walked by. Their tiny eyes always fixed on the gun at his side.

Yes, two women. Healthy women, as healthy as he had seen in this damp pit. Both were old enough to know themselves, and still young enough to be attractive. He smiled. These two would be wonderful addition to his make-shift harlem.

"And those two," He smiled, pointing them out. Two large men sifted through the kids in front to grab at them.

"Come... my new ones. Come and see your home."

They needed to be changed first. All new women went through the same initiation. Stripped of clothing, washed and deloused, given new clothes, hair cuts, makeovers and manicures. It was a trip through hell, where they came out looking like high class whores on the other side.

"See you in a couple of hours," He said, turning to go to his private cabin. He needed a shower himself, get the stench of death off of him.

Avaline - Io - (Richard--umm help!!) - Nazi Captain - Germany 1942

Avaline heard the man and her eyes shot up, she laid the child that was resting on her lap, down and quietly stood. "Shhhh... " she whispered to the ones that were awake. "I'll be back when I can," she winked at the little ones, and headed out with the man. She wouldn't make a rocus, she didn't want to frighten the children. Her own heart was beating fast, and her fear was evident in her wide eyes. She looked back to Iolantha, pleading silently to her. Avaline suspected that something terrible was about to happen to her, she just didn't know what.

Her mind went to the history of this War, and her face paled further. She stumbled, but the larger of the guards pulled her up, and muttered foul words against her ears. A tear escaped, and she nodded her head yes in understanding. The threat of the lives of the children were enough to make her cooperate.

They moved Avaline outside, and she waited there, her body weak from hunger and sickness. She knew this was not right, something inside her was wrong, and she wandered how long it would be before this life as a mortal would finish her off. The soldier who had ordered her brought before him, stared at her. Avaline felt the heat of his gaze and she looked up at him. The eyes that met her's were ones of evil and she trembled beneath them.

Closing her eyes and lowering her head she sent prayers to all the Gods and Goddesses, not asking them to save her, but to give her the strength to continue this punishment as long as she was supposed to. "Please, do not let young Iolantha be harmed, she is here because of me, and no one else. I beg of you to send her home if it means her safety. She shouldn't be here. I only ask for strength," she repeated her request over and over, while she shivered quietly in the night.

Germany/1942/Io/Avaline/Raymond

I heard the man and felt the guards hands upon me, looking about me wildly I seen Avaline being lead off as well. What was happening had someone decided they wanted to speak to us, had they figured out what I had done and wanted to burn me at the stake? Fear for Avaline shot through me, I had to keep her safe it did not matter to me what happened to me. She had told me my sisters were safe I was happier now then I had ever been. Just to know they were safe and that one of them had indeed found what she had been seeking.

Wrestling my arm from the guard, I stand up straight and tall walking before him. I did not need his filthy hands upon me. Keeping my eyes glued before me I watch the man step before Avaline whispering something cruel to her from the looks of it. I couldn’t help her at this moment of time, but my anger only fueled the wind whipping around us. My only question was if Avaline was here... Then who could I send my prayers to? Who up there would care other then her to watch over us and keep us safe.

Moving to stand in line behind Avaline, we needed Raymond to show himself. Someone actually it would not matter who but just someone who could take Avaline away from all this. She did not deserve this no matter how I had felt earlier about her and her ways, my eyes and heart had been opened to this woman.. My Goddess!

Seeing her shivering again I use just enough of my magic to radiant a bit of warmth towards her. Not knowing if it was just the cold or if she was truly scared and did not realize that I would indeed give my life for her, to keep her from harm.

Bowing my head so that the guards would not see me whisper softly to her, “Es ist guter Avaline, ist Raymond frei.“ I knew the words were broken German but although I had taken the classes I never could pass the stupid thing. But hopefully she understood that Raymond was still free and he would come. I knew he would I had to keep that faith, that was all there was to it. And if not, well then I still could create some damage to the buildings and get us out.

I didn't know if there were any other Gods above that I could pray to at this time but closing my eyes I did just that. Prayed... To all those above me, "Please, I know the war was bad during this time, I know some will die. But please do not let the children be harmed. Avaline has learned please take her home, do not let her see this, she has lost one child. To lose these would be her undoing, please let her go home. I will stay and take her punishment willingly, to even stay here a lone and live this life in this time. Just do not let her be hurt, she is a beautiful Goddess and needs to be safe where she may watch over my sisters."

Yes he can be trusted Raven... Wyn said letting Raven take over so that she could rest. Raven was right she did need it, if she didnt then she wouldnt have the strenght or the energy to heal them later if nessasary.

Wyn closed her eyes and soon fell asleep, to the soothing sounds of Raven's voice, and her fingers running thru her hair, glad to have both Scytherin and Raven at her side. She was given a tiny ray of hope in an otherwise bleak situation.

Wyn opened her eyes sometime later to her stomach growling and a warm fire, slowly sitting up Wyn gave Raven and Scytherin a weak smile as she handed Raven back her coat. Between the fire and the clothing the eskamo people had given them she was feeling better. How long was i asleep?

He looked down at her hand but then up at her. As he thought, he looked over at Wyn's limp body and smiled weakly. I'd do anything to get her safer, this place could kill her...and that's not something I want...I'll do anything. He told her, gazing at Wyn.

Wyn's suyddenly began to sit up and he felt Raven's hand move from his thight to her side. About 10 minute's is all, not much...

Wyn and Scytherin...and Raven...~Greenland~

Raven smiled sweetly at Scytherin. Upon hearing Wyn's voice she turned her head to look at her dear sister who awakened suddenly. Taking her coat back from Wyn she laid it to the side and noticing that Scytherin was a little chilled offered him the coat to warm up a bit as they discussed what they needed to do.

Patting the furs beneath her she motioned for Wyn to gather closer to her as they could lay out their plans. Looking at them both she told how she had spoken to the eskimo people when Wyn was asleep and Scytherin had gone for wood.

Wide eyed with a little excitement she told them both of how the natives had told her of a map...that they had and how no one of their people could find a use for it and if they wanted it they were welcome to it. She told of her bargaining with them and trading a few trinkets to get the map from them.
"Funny thing is that....this map resembles nothing of Greenland...I know it sounds odd but it is true..I was good at geography in school and it is not here this map represents South America!"

Sliding her hand into the breast pocket of her down filled vest she pulled out a leathery looking map and unrolled it to the eager eyes of the couple.
"Now if this is true we are not where we are supposed to be...Or at least you both are in the wrong place...you need to be somewhere else...and....I can help with that...I have the disk that we can use to travel in time and to other places"
"If this Richard person has not come back then I fear he may be gone....I mean I wish that not on anyone...but this country is harsh and if he is dressed as you both are...He wouldn't stand a chance out there."
"Now we can leave right away or we can spend the night and leave in the morning...I will leave that to you both to decide....but I am sure South America is a hell of alot warmer than here." Smiling warmly at them, she rose and said ,"I will let you decide..I will leave you both alone for a moment......afterall it is your quest...I will be back in a few minutes"

Walking a little ways away she turned and smiled. Then turning towards the cave entrance she walked out into the open landscape of Greenland...to let the couple decide.

Wyn looked at the map and then at Scytharin after her sister left the cave. She had wanted to call her back afraid she would dissapear as Richard had, and leave them alone again, but new that Raven wouldnt leave if she could help it. What do you think Scytherin.... do you think you could handle another time shift right now or do you need more time? she asked waiting to see what he would say.

Wyn new what her awncer would be warmer sounded so much better but she wouldnt leave Scytharian eather or make his choice for him. If he needed more time then she would tell Raven that they would leave in the morning insted of right away.

The woman slept her body almost lifeless. She had been there for what would later become an arguement among Literature greats. Did she rest for only a day or was it for one hundred years? Either way it didn't matter. She still laid there upon the lush bed, covered in warm blankets, her face pale, her eyes closed, and her ruby red lips barely parted as the small puffs of air escaped her.

Watching her sleep the woman stared at her, the long black gown and horned hood she wore hid her beautiful features. Her slanted eyes were covered with thick black lashes. The dark emerald green of her eyes burned with the hate of revenge. She had formed this spell years ago, and as it was prophasized the girl had sought out the secrets of the upper most tower on her birthday, and had embarked on the her destiny.

Turning away she looked out of the window of the woman's chamber. The staff in her hand was loosely gripped. On the top was the carved head of a King cobra, the eyes a red ruby. Those eyes would glow blood red when she lifted the staff and said the words of darkness. Right now all was peaceful, and she felt uneasy over the peace. "Anku," she stated, her voice a rich and lovely one.

The black crow flew to her, landed on her shoulder and stared back at her, its eyes the color of a starless, moonless night. "Go out into the woods and return to me with tales of what you see. Do not dismiss anything. Something or someone is coming, and soon it will be time to begin."

The large animal lifted its wings, and kicked off from his Mistress' shoulder. The beautiful Lily slept in her bed of comfort, her mind once more lost in the dreams of a love that she was forever losing. Each dream was the same, each one pulled her away from happiness, and each one ended in a nightmare of her slim finger reaching out and touching the needle of a spinning wheel and falling to the ground.

Back in the tower, where Michiko waited having just barely grazed the fingers of her friend waited, another book rested where Lily once lay. The book was leather bound, its pages old and yellow. This book however was not welcoming, but full of darkness of an evil so vile that the power of it could be felt from a single touch of ones finger.

SS-Sturmbannführer Karl Kreutz, Iolantha, Avaline, Capt. Ironside - Germany 1942

As Captain Von Ironside turned to leave the two girls for his men to ready for him he froze as he saw the SS-Sturmbannführer’s car drive up to where he was standing. Karl got out of the car and inspected the two girls Hans had selected even in their filthy state it was obvious that they would both be beautiful once they were cleaned up. Both were dresses in strange clothing and looked as if they were only standing by force of will, he was sure he heard one of their stomachs grumbling through lack of nourishment.

“What’s going on here Captain?” Karl asks. “Don’t bother to explain, you two put the girls in my car,” he commanded the two soldiers guarding the girls. The soldiers could see his SS Insignia and quickly led the girls to his car after a quick glance at the Captain who could do no more than nod his agreement and put them in the back seat.

“You haven’t heard the last of this Captain,” Karl told Von Ironside as he got into the car next to the driver. “Back to the Chalet,” he ordered the driver.
Ten minutes later they drove through a pair of iron gates that were closed behind them and along a short drive to stop outside a large chalet with two armed SS guards outside the door.

“Ladies for the moment you’re safe, but don’t try to leave the chalet without me the guards will shoot anybody the don’t know in the grounds.” Karl said to the two girls. “When we get inside I’ll get some goulash made for you to quieten that rumbling stomach,” he added smiling. Two new guards approached as he got out of the car.

“Take them to my study, then one of you tell the cook I want two bowls of goulash delivered quickly,” he ordered as the guards opened the rear doors of the car letting the girls out. The girls were led to a comfortable room and told to sit and wait, one guard stayed in the room while the other went off, the girls hoped to the kitchen.

Karl entered a few minutes later and sat behind his desk indicating to the guard that he could stand outside the door.

“Now ladies can you explain how you came to be in that camp dressed the way you are. You’re certainly not from around here, I’ve never seen clothes like yours in my life?” Karl asked once the guard had left.

Before either girl could say anything there was a knock on the door. “Come” Karl shouted and the door opened and in came another soldier with a tray containing two large bowls of goulash. Each girl was given a bowl and a spoon, then the soldier left them to Karl. Karl waited until they’d both finished their goulash before speaking again.

“I have a bit of a problem, you both need a bath and clean clothes but I haven’t any women’s clothes in the chalet. A bath I can arrange but what about clothing, will you both be happy if I get uniform trousers and shirts for you until your own clothing can be washed and dried?” he asked. Both girls looked at him shocked, then slowly nodded. “Good,” Karl said. “Now there’s a bathroom two doors down the corridor, you can go one at a time, a guard will be outside the door and another outside the window, so please be sensible have your bath dress and come back her,” he told them.

The girls went and had their baths and returned to the study dressed in uniform trousers and shirts feeling a lot better for the bath and food.

“Now would either of you like to answer my questions?” Karl asked when they were both settled.

Avaline - Iolantha - Karl (yep shortened it - wink) - 1942 Germany

Avaline had seen the vehicle pull up and when the man had suddenly started barking orders to the other soldier, she was even more afraid. This man was talking as if he were more important than the other, and if that were the case, then surely he would be just as violent if not more so. She looked to Iolantha, her eyes still wide with fright and without words spoken from anyone she and Iolantha were placed in a vehicle and taken away. Avaline could still feel the burning glare of the man who had ordered them from the building.

She held the other woman's hand and felt her warmth. Iolantha still had powers and she was thankful for those. Avaline had nothing only the dress that she had been placed in Germany wearing and her own powers were useless, non-existant. Afraid to speak she said nothing to Iolantha. Her head still hurt from where one soldier had butted her with the end of his rifle.

When they arrived at the huge house and the man ordered them into a room, then provided them with food she was even more confused. This man had made no move to harm either one of them, and she wondered if perhaps this was one of the Gods in disguise. She studied him for several moments while he spoke, but nothing came to her. Her only conclusion was that this man was from 1942 Germany, and he was one of the nicer of the Germans. There were many, but few were kind enough to show compassion.

After eating the food, her stomach still hurt but Avaline held back the wincing pain in hopes to not be noticed. He had told them they could bath and have clean clothing. This to would be something she had taken for granted. She had never needed to bath, her body as a Goddess had always been clean and smelled of the gardens of Olympia.

The two women were seperated when they went to bathe and this brought another stirring of fear from deep within Avaline. When the bathroom door was closed and she was alone, she had fallen to the floor and prayed to Zues for forgiveness.

She prayed for Iolantha's safety, for the man who had given her food, for the soldier that had wanted to harm them, for the children that were left back at the compound, knowing they would be joining her own child and mortal lover who had died hundreds of years ago. Avaline's prayers went out to Raymond, wanting him to be safe and cared for. She asked Zues to care for Michiko and Lily their lives swirling through the pages of books and fairy tales, a spell that Avaline had set into motion and would only end when the time was right.

Suddenly Avaline was coughing and soon she had emptied the food that the man had given her into the stomach. She wiped her mouth, bile and blood were smeared against her hand. Her eyes closed and she stood slowly. Prayers continued in her head for Wyn and Scytherin, for the sisters that had failed their quests. She stopped and slipped to her knees again.

This time she prayed to Hetta, a prayer from a woman to a woman. She asked the Goddess to watch over the man that she now knew had won her heart. Her eyes flowed thick with tears as she prayed that she save him from death and in exchange she was willing to give her life for him. Avaline pleaded silently with Hetta that she take care of her Minstril and then she sent a thought of love to him, hoping he would feel it, and hoping it would give him strength.

She rose to her feet, and began to take her bath. Her body welcomed the warm water and soon she was asleep in the tub. After several minutes she was startled awake by a knock on the door. After the person stuck their hand inside the door and left clothing for her on the floor, she got out of the tub, and dried off her body. Clean hair, clean skin, and a sick woman soon made her way back to the hall, found Iolantha coming toward her and went into the study where the man was waiting.

Avaline stared at him and tilted her head. "We were pretending to be actresses in a play. The children needed entertained, we found some fancy clothes and we put them on. They were in the garbage we didn't steal them if that is what you think." She blinked rapidly, as her fingers sought Iolantha's

Zues - Raymond

Zues looked at the young man he had swiftly plucked out of Germany 1942. He had seen this coming. The powers of Iolantha wouldn't have been strong enough so he had to take the young man away and bring him into the cloud.

Now they just seemed to be staring at each other. Each one contemplating what to say and do next. Zues was the first to break the silence, actually he was the first to do anything concerining this new twist with the young swimmers life.

"You know, when Avaline plucks someone up here it always seems to lead to trouble, I'll not be having that from you!" He pointed at the young man. "I mean, she plucks that woman from Japan, and she falls for her, the Minstrel falls for her. Sure she's a pretty lass, but good grief. How can one woman cause so much trouble?"

Zues stood his eyes transfixed on his wife who had just come into the room. "Perhaps I should send Hetta on a mission." He cocked his brow and then laughed when she made a face at him.

"You Raymond sit and enjoy yourself, there is a lovely woman in the chamber we have set up for you. You just go to the room on the far right of that hall," Zues pointed to the hall that seemed to appear out of no where. "She'll do whatever you ask of her, several times." He chuckled as he imagined the fun that a young man like Raymond could do with the beautiful creature in his bedroom."

Zues captured Hetta's hand and kissed it lightly. "How are you faring my pet."

"I'll be fine as long as you don't send me down into that mess," she groaned.

He laughed, "No, You may create your own mess, and clean them up yourself." His fingers slipped over her lips, as he took her hand and placed it on his bulging robe. "Let us retire," he told her, leading her away while Raymond chose to either stay alone in the room, or go off and enjoy as much debauchery as he saw fit.

Wyn and Scytherin...and Raven....Greenland

Looking out at the sparce landscape...Raven shivered and thought this the most dreadful place to be...shaking her head ...she felt the couples thoughts from within the cave and knowing they were a little worried about her
disappearing...smiling and laughing softly...she turned and went back into the
cave.

Adjusting her eyes to the dismal gloom again...she sees the couple as she had left them and smiles sweetly at her sister and Scytherin as she nears them. Raven sees and feels Wyn's sense of relief that she has not disappeared...she smiles warmly at her sister.

Sitting crosslegged beside them, she takes a deep breath and asks them if they have come to any conclusion as to what they wanted to do.

Germany/1942/Io/Avaline/Karl/Ironside

Taking Avaline's hand within my own, holding to the comfort of her hand. We were both warm, clean and fed none of which either of us had thought to feel again. A small smile plays upon my lips as I listen to Avaline's explaination of why we are dressed the way we are. Thinking that it was as good as any, and if the man called Karl accepted it maybe he would let us go.

Studing the man before us I deside that he isn't bad looking, his eyes though cold weren't cruel. He had a strength about him that told me that though he was indeed someone of importance he didn't normally flash it about. Which was a good thing as far as I was concerned.

OOC: Sorry So Short, I got to typing and my mind went blank on me.. *smiles*

Looking at her sister as she re entered the cave Wyn smiled in releief, and nodded. I am ready to go if Scytharien is up to it... if not then we will have to wait until morning. Until he decides i am a fraid we are stuck. I am going to try and get some more rest while i can. Wyn said watching Raven rejoin them at the fire Wyn lay down, and closed her eyes trying to get some more sleep. Before passing out how ever she said.Thank you Raven.... i am glad you are here..

Michiko

Michiko moved to the book, her heart heavy now, unsure when all this would end. She picked the tome up, a bit frightened by the dark aura that was emanating from it. She opened the cover, flipping through the pages before she tried to enter it again. This time it seemed to take longer, like she was having to peirce through whatever evil possessed it.

She now found herself in one of the most desolute and horrifying forests she had ever seen. It's trees were devoid of any life, and the branches seemed more like claws reaching out to grab and tear her apart. Besides that, the sky was moonless and starless. This was a land of devoid light and life, only evil could thrive in such a hostile environment.

She could barely make out the bath she was traveling upon, having to keep her eyes on it for fear she might lose it and find herself too far into this horrible forest. She raised her head at the sound of a raven, hearing it's caw as it flew overhead. She was uncertain why, but she felt it's malovelent gaze, as though it was looking for her and had, obviously, found her.

It then flew off back towards something that she could hardly make out in the darkness, but the path seemed to be following that way. She had no other choice but to follow after, hurrying as fast as she could while keeping her eyes on the 'safe' path.

Lily - Michiko - Sleeping Beauty

Maleficent looked down on the woman, she was fair of color and her lips as red as the most brilliant rose known to man. She heard the caw of her pet and she turned from the side of the bed where her prize slept. Years had passed and now the girl slept and she would sleep forever, the rush of power filled the evil woman's body and she trembled in the rush.

Her arm lifted and her pet landed on her forearm. She felt the bite of its talons dig into her and she welcomed the pain. "What have you to show me?" she asked. It screamed loud caws until she smoothed the soft black feathers down. "Shhhhh my pet..." she kissed the black beak.

Soon Maleficent knew of a stranger in the forest and she knew what that stranger was there for. . . rather who she was there for. "Go to the forest. . . find her and deal with her, bring your friends. Bring all of them from the their homes, call to them, and deal with her. Pluck and peck, dig and tear. . . then when she lies dead and bloody on the ground, bring me her eyes pulled from their sockets."

The bird screamed out and lifted itself once more, into the thick dark night it flew. Shadows of the forest concealed him and soon thousands of his kind were headed toward the woman.

OOC: I know... we veered a bit, but it works!! Enjoy: Attack of the Birds

Michiko, Sleeping Lily, and lots and lots of crows.

She saw them, or at least heard them. What gave it away was the immense and accumulated sounds of cawing. And she could barely move her sword to the ready before they were upon her. They were flapping across her, picking at her flesh, poking and biting. The pain was incredible, but Michiko wasn't about to let a murder of crows stop her.

She swung expertly with the sword, slashing several of the carrion birds from her and with another swipe, the rest were off. But more were coming. She was forced on the defensive, her sword slashing and swinging in a circular motion, and the crows that tried to breach her defenses were cut to ribbons. They circled around her, and she began to swash wildly to keep them at bay, though the odd crow got in a peck at her.

She was getting exhausted, and she was certain she couldn't keep this up forever. She slowed down, letting them get in close before attacking, wanting them in big groups so a decent slash could kill a good deal of them. Another slash. Then another, and another, and another. Her arms were dripping with crow's blood, as well as the occasional feather but after her assault, what was left of the crows began to retreat.

When they were out of sight, she headed back on the path, her body ached and screamed with pain. Hundreds of bloody pecks dotted her body, but time was of the essence, and she wouldn't slow down. Not for an army of crows, not even for an army of dragons. Lily was her primary concern, the sweet Lily was the only thing driving her forward.

And this is when she realized it, when it hit her dead on. She noticed all the signs, especially the pain that had creased Lily's face when she had denied her. And now the fact that she was bleeding, broken, tired, hungry, and thirsty, a combination that would make even a great warrior fall. But she didn't, Lily was driving her, Lily was her star. Did Lily love her? Did she love Lily?

She shook the thoughts from her head, hurrying as fast as she could. She would find these things out in time.

Wyn and Scytherin and Raven...Greenland

"Thank you Raven.... I am glad you are here.".

"No thanks needed dear sister...I am glad to be here with you...rest ...you need it sweetie."
Looking at her sister with such care and tenderness...if one saw the nonverbal exchange and could pick up the atmosphere ...they would sense a very strong bond of love between the two sisters.

Raven scooted over to where Wyn laid down and softly stroked her sister's hair humming quietly and sending warmth and rest through her fingertips into her sister as she fell fast asleep. Covering her with the coat, she crawled, somewhat catlike, slowly back to the fire to warm herself and to get closer to Scytherin...and see what he had to say...knowing and feeling that his thoughts were in a bit of chaos since her arrival and all the time travel he had been through...she looked at him and smiled sweetly.

"What are you thinking sweetie...maybe I can help if you are undecided about something...sometimes just talking can help us see the situation and the answers more clearly for ourselves....or at the very least...possible solutions."
Tilting her head a little to one side and her sweet innocence and genuine concern for her loved ones on her face, Raven smiled at Scytherin.

Lily - Michiko - Sleeping Beauty

Maleficent saw the mass of blackness descend on the forest and she knew in her black heart it was her faithful friend dealing with the pest that was invading her grounds. She had turned her back when she felt something in her heart that she had not felt in ages. A tearing, ripping pain shot through her. She spun around and watched as the black cloud was soon nothing but a few birds fluttering in the breeze. Maleficent knew her own pet was now gone, a lifeless bloody heap on the forest floor.

Lifting her dagger she moved to the woman's body. "You will die precious one." Her knife hovered over the heart of the sleeping beauty, then she stopped. Turning quickly she grapped her staff and lifted into the air.

Several words were spoken and the eyes of the cobra glowed once more. The red, blood rubies glistened in the night. As she spoke the magical words a fury of thorns rushed up from the ground surrounding the forest and trapping the woman inside. The thorns were thickly covered in razor sharp pricks as well as having stalks the size of tree trunks.

Maleficent turned back and watched the woman sleeping and felt a sense of accomplishment as the young one's chest rose and fell in a steady quiet rythmn.

Karl, Iolantha, Avaline, - Germany 1942

Karl sat and listened to their story, smiling to himself as they obviously lied to him.

He knew that they had to have been wearing the clothing before they were taken into captivity, they wouldn’t have been allowed to change once they were prisoners. Also they wouldn’t have known that the children in the camp would need to be entertained to lessen their fear. This all added up to only one conclusion, they were complete strangers to the area and in all probability spies for the enemy. Unless they came up with a better explanation he would have to hand them over to his superiors for questioning, torture and eventually death.

“Ladies, why do you lie to me. At some point you’re going to have to tell the truth, either willingly or to save yourselves more pain. Unless you’d been in the camp before you wouldn’t know what happened there, and although Captain Ironside and I don’t get on he’s a good German officer and nobody that enters the camp leaves except in a box,” Karl told them watching for a reaction from them.

The younger girl appeared to be the stronger of the two, the older blonde girl was clutching the others hand as if to keep herself safe. He was going to have to do something to get the truth out of them, he didn’t want to take them outside and have them shot as spies.

“With your lies you don’t leave me a lot of options,” he told them. “I can hand you back to Ironside, which I can assure you that you wouldn’t like. He has many types of torture to get the information he wants, how would you feel if he pulled your finger nails out?” he asked shuddering himself at the thought.

“I could take you outside and have you shot as spies, or take you to Berlin and let the experts loose on you. Although I don’t like torture I could have my men soften you up so you might tell the truth. The choice is yours,” he told them.

“One other point, don’t expect to be rescued from here, this mansion is guarded day and night and anybody who tries to enter without a pass from me will be shot dead. They are the orders my men have,” he added as an after thought.

“Now do you want to change your story or make a choice of what I should do with you. You wont leave here until I get the truth out of you, or I decide to let somebody else work the truth out of you. I'll give you a few minutes to decide remember the windows are barred and there are guards outside the door.” He finished getting up and leaving the room.

Avaline - Iolantha- Karl - Germany 1942

Avaline stared long and hard at the man behind the desk and she shifted in her seat. Her featured winced slightly, but she ignored the pain in her head and in her stomach and chose instead to address the man. She was a bit surprised that Iolantha had allowed her to continue speaking, but she knew that with her identity now apparent to Iolantha, her charge would be looking to her for answers and for once Avaline had none.

She couldn't tell this man she was a Goddess from Olympia and she had come down to Earth because Iolantha, the girl next to her and her sisters, had summoned her to help them find their true loves. In return they were sent on quests and so far some had failed. On top of that she was tossed out of Olympia and has no clue why, but she is in love with a Minstril from the Middle Ages and oh by the way... Iolantha has powers and now I don't.

Once Avaline ran the truth through her head she burst out laughing. Her laughter wasn't one of humor but showed soon how deep in despair she was. As she broke out in hysterics, her body clenched in pain and she doubled over. She breathed deep and regained her composure.

"You'd not believe us if we told you. We can not speak the truth to you, but we are not your enemy. We were just in the wrong place at the wrong time," she almost found herself chuckling again over her choice of words. "Very much the wrong place and the wrong time." She closed her eyes on her pains and waited for the man to deal with them. She knew that Iolantha would help with this situation as soon as she could, for now Avaline would deal as best she could.

Avaline - Iolantha- Karl - Germany 1942

As I stood there listening to Avaline continue to weave a spell with her story, I began to wonder why I was so worried. I knew my sister's were alive safe and some happy. Avaline had done basically what she could for each of them showing them that there was more to life then asking to have something granted to them.

Then as I felt Avaline begin to crumble her laughter harsh even to my own ears, I reach out and grab her holding her to me carefully. When my eyes meet those of the man before us I make a desision a choice one of my own. And for the first time it meant more to me then finding the 'Man' of my dreams.

"Hush, Avaline it will be ok love honest I am here." Wrapping my arms around the woman quietly her anguish plain upon her lovely face. I knew something was dreadfully wrong with her and that scared me.

"May I tell you a unbelieveable story that you can take as the truth or believe as a lie?" Seeing the man's head barely move in a slight nod of acceptance I look once more to Avaline before being to speak. Continuing to look at Avaline as the words flowed softly at first from my mouth then building in confidence as I told the whole story to this man. Changing only a few facts of the story, I could not tell him that Avaline was a goddess. Nor could I tell him of my powers and that if I had really honestly wanted to I could have burned down his stupid mansion.

"That is the truth as far as I can tell, where my sisters are I have no clue." Taking a look at the man and then turning back to Avaline holding to her hand giving it a gentle squeeze. "My friend came here to help me if she could, this is not her doing nor should she be here. She needs to see a doctor I am afraid for her, and you seem to be a man of some understanding. Please, what ever I must do please let her see a doctor. Get her well so that when the time comes she can go home, to be safe and happy once more with the man of her dreams."

Sittting back in the chair once more I look to the man, staring him in the eyes and I wait to see if he will come to the conclusion that I am totally off my rocker. Maybe just a tab bit insane, or just spinning another tail to save our asses. Knowing that if he looks hard enough, the truth is there for him to see within my eyes if he but just looks for it.

The next morning came and went swiftly as none of them wished to waist more time waiting around in the cold freezing to death. Taking hands they stood in a circle and Raven used her disk wisking them to the time and place that they would need to be to get their gift for the goddess. Wyn new it wouldnt be easy but would do her best to stay strong.

Arriving at their destination Wyn looked around enjoying the feel of the sun on her face and skin warming her body, and removed some of the layers of fur leaving enough that certen areas were covered. The clothing eskamo people had given her was wonderfly made but she simply wanted to enjoy the suns ray's if only for a moment.

After spinning in a circle with her arms wide she brought her hands back down and looking at Scytherin and Raven she smiled and said. I am sorry i couldnt resist..... So sis where do we start??

Wyn and Scytherin and Raven ....Inca Temples , South America

After transporting Wyn and Scytherin with her to their destination, Raven watched as her sister began to remove some of the winter clothing and did so a little herself. Laughing softly at the site of Wyn, being renewed by the warmth in which they found themselves, spinning in the warm sunlight.
Scytherin sat on an overturned block of stone watching as well...silent and most likely thinking.

"No need to apologize sweetie...enjoy...I know it must have been dreadful there in Greenland. As for what to do next, well ...we need to set up a bit of a camp for the night...and then I shall tell you all that we need to know to attain the gift for the Goddess. There are riches here no one can resist...not even a Goddess."

Looking about the ruins surrounding them, Raven spies a opening and seeks with her mind the safety of it. It would do nicely.
Pointing to the opening Raven tells the couple that , it looks like the best possibility. Smiling sweetly at the pair, she heads with them to the , what seems like a Temple opening. Planning in her head what they will do next.
