Io/264B.C./Aidan
Looking around me and then down at myself, "ok Goddess you could of at least given me time to change. These garments will not match to what the present day is." Taking another quick look around I notice someone's laundry hanging outside, judging the size quickly I make a trade. Leaving behind my pinky ring knowing it would more then enough payment for the garments, I step behind a building and change. Placing my clothing in a nook where I was sure to be able to find them later if need me.
Aidan, that was who I was to look for. Well if the Goddess had brought me here then this is where he had to be. Or so I hoped. Scanning the area about me, seeing beautiful white roman buildings around me. Where should my search begin I wondered.
In the distance I see a huge round white building where there seemed to be several people milling around. Shrugging my shoulders giving a sigh of hope, my feet take me that way. Aidan I had to keep repeating the name, I didn't want to chance forgetting it and messing up the Goddess's plans for me.
"Oh Goddess I hope my sister's are fairing better then I am. I am not going to question your motives but maybe we could have been better prepared for your designs on us." Smiling and shaking my head, what was I thinking she was a Goddess and only she knew what she was doing.
Nodding my head to the people I walk by stopping every so often to listen to a conversation. Trying to catch the dialet that they are using before stepping away and trying in on my own tongue. I needed to fit in and this was the best way I could think of doing it. In school I had been pretty good with foreign languages but this was very foreign.
As I get close to the Coliesum I begin to hear chanting, a name... "Aidan... Aidan.." Feeling my heart skip a beat, could it have been that easy I wonder, quickly heading inside. Looking about me to see who the name belongs to, then down. Seeing a man stopped by the guards at the gate, he looked strange standing there, the crowd of people seemed to think he was something. Which indeed he was a sight to see.
Then before the man steps out he turns and I hear the roar of the crowd again, booing the guards. Maybe he was dressed funny to me his clothing barely covering his body, but hey I would probably be dressed strangely to him besides people in my era of time we wore less at times. Looking to the heaven's I whisper softly. "No Goddess this can not be, he is a gladiator. How am I to get his attention and talk him into helping me with my quest?" Remembering my history most gladiators were slaves, I had no gold to buy him with and I just couldn't steal him from his Masters. Or could I?
Turning to head down into the building itself, I get a new shock as I watch Adian being drug into a cart his hands and feet tied. Where were they taking him I wondered, but the guards standing around him made me question whether I should approach them or not. "Excuse Good Sir where might this slave be bond for?" I ask, trying out my newest dialet. Hearing his reply of the slave blocks, "well Sh*t Goddess now what am I to do. I can't very well steal him from the slave blocks."
