Yep, tomorrow is my third anniversary at lit. There are a few posters who have been here longer and who helped guide me into not only these forums, but the lifestyle. There were key posters on the original BDSM thread which tweaked my interest and later helped me begin the journey. Thanks everyone. :)

In any event, now I am here, still here, three years later and can honestly say that so much of my life is different as to make it unrecognizable compared to where I began. Was lit responsible for those changes? No, but lit certainly made some of the hard times easier and honestly, made some of the hard times more difficult.

Overall, my stay at lit has been far longer than I expected and yes, has had a very positive impact on my life. I have noticed so many changes in myself, as a person, as a poster and as a moderator. (My grammar is constantly improving, but will never be squeaky clean! :D)

Just a quick not to thank everyone for their part in the last three years.

I'm going to come back and post to this in more depth when I have more time. There is much I would like to say to and about you, MissT.

Aside from being a great woman and good friend to me, almost since day 1, you are a terrific moderator.

I have to run now.... but I will be back to this.

Thank you, ADR.

It is strange though, I am not even sure why I started this thread. Lit is not the most important part of my life, my day or even this particular hour. However, as the anniversary approaches, it makes me think back upon these years and the time spent here.

Is it wasted time?
I would like to think not.

I have over the years, laughed with, prayed for, empathized with people I have never and will likely never meet in real life. There was even a time when harsh words on a screen could rattle me and make me cry.

Anything, real time or cyber world that evokes such emotions and thoughts cannot be wasted. IMHO.

LOL, 3 years can pass quickly but pack a lot of living in that short space in time. It has been interesting watching and sharing in your journey, and though we are different people in some ways, not so different in others, I have learned and grown through your words. That for me is the beauty of Lit....you learn, read thoughts which make you think, see posts which might seem so foreign to you one day then 6 months later be crystal clear...it extends the mind in so many ways, and as such our r/l experiences, challenges our comfort zones, it is a place to meet and share with friends, and sometimes find a way of understanding those you never thought you would, and most of all in my experience and yours I think also Miss T, it is a place where you can come to hang out or get a bit of support and understanding when there may be no-one else who can relate elsewhere...and if nothing else, it is usually a challenge to keep up with all that comes and go's, the sorrows and the triumphs, the new and the old. Now are we all invited to the party?!!

Wow, didn't realize I've been here 4 years this month. You have changed so much since we chatted about you maybe moving to NC years ago.

The best thing I can say about you is this....

YOU ARE A CLASS ACT.

You are consistant and even handed, with everyone. I know I speak for many when I say you are highly respected.

And I *heart* you.

;-)

Damn, WD, you're even older than me! I'm only three and a half on here.

Glad to have you count three years among us, MissT. :)
{{{hugs}}}

woohoo! i can't thank you enough, MissT, for the countless contributions you've made to both the community and the individuals here (myself included)

amazing how time just makes us better when amongst good friends.

congrats MsT

I had to peek back in for her anniversary...

You have all said it before me though.

A Class Act....

yes, a sweet darling woman whose heart is always in the right place, no matter the grammer.

Now, where's the champagne and chocolate?????

or nipple clamps and collars?

You are one of my oldest friends at Lit.... I have grown in knowing you...

Compared to the way you were when you first came here, you're much stronger and focused, I think....You were kinda mousey and coy when you joined in year one.

I think by the time year two finished, you'd switched, double-dealt Cym and left her bleeding in the dirt to become moderator, and you'd pretty much swung the pendulum away from mousey sub.

Now in year three you seem a bit cooler, more confident, appear to have lost some weight and have some very nice shoes.

You say mousy as if it's a bad thing.

No, not at all.

MissT has changed since arriving here, as she and others have also noted. That's neither a good nor bad thing...just a thing.
