basically the story is like this: guy meets girl; they have an intense love affair but then she has to leave to go back to school; they try to forget each other, but can't, even after sleeping with other people; their affair continues online; they each drive 3,101 miles to surprise each other, only to discover their paths crossed somewhere in Nebraska, going opposite directions on I-80; eventually, after much soul-searching, some hi-jinks, and some fucking around, they come together.

And from there? Who knows. This thread hasn't made it out of the coffee-shop yet.

Dreamworld

So I am basically fishing around to see if there would be any interest in a thread based on an old one I started about a year or so ago,

the idea is essentially this...

It starts with a guy who for some reason is "trapped in his own mind" be it a coma or whatever,and after losing the use of his body retreats to his fantasies, only to discover that he actually had some psychic ability,eventually becoming strong enough that he creates an entire world in his own mind where the unconious minds of anyone sleeping within a hundred miles of him eners his dream world rather than their own dreams. (think something like the Matrix)

These would be npc's, the player characters would be people who also have some psychic ability and are aware that it is a dream,and maybe even aware that it is not their dream (like Neo & Trinity etc... ) and there for take special actions like changing the scenery to a small degree like making a door where there is none,or altering their appearance to be taller,have larger breasts whatever.
One or two who's power is slightly stronger than the rest will be something like the operators from the Matrix in that they can "scan" the minds of the people around them for certain skills like speaking a French or flying a helicopter etc... and "copy it to the aware "users" or player characters in much the same manor as Tank downloads karate ability's for Neo.

So basically like the Matrix but in the human mind sans computer interface and killer robots.

I would play the Dreamer,and maybe the first aware "user" to enter the Dreamworld.

PM me if you are interested,and if enough people want to try this I will start an ooc thread so we can get together and brainstorm to work out the kinks or whatever.

Thinking about starting a thread that would be comedic in tone, about a girl who always tries to be good, but keeps winding up in sexual or sexually charged situations due to unforseen circumstances.

I can provide narration and set up scenes (and our erstwhile heroine) by using NPC's. What I would need is a female writer who understands that her character is an ingenue, as opposed to a slut, and can write accordingly.

I haven't put a thread up yet but please PM me if you'd like to discuss the idea.

I, Strahd: seeking Strahd, others

A man of noble birth, Count Strahd von Zarovich spent much of his life serving causes of goodness and law, most notably as a warrior and leader of armies. Years of such service took their toll upon him however, and by the time he reached middle age, Strahd came to believe he had squandered his life and his youth. With this dark mood upon him, he came to conquer the region known as Barovia, and assumed lordship there, taking as his residence the pre-existing castle known as Ravenloft. From this position of power and security, he called for members of his family "long unseated from their ancestral thrones" to join him, including a younger brother named Sergei.

Some time after this reunion, Strahd himself fell in love with a young Barovian woman, Tatyana, though she rejected his affections in favor of the younger Sergei. Filled with despair and jealousy, and brooding a growing hatred for Sergei, Strahd sought magical means to restore his youth. In a moment of desperate frustration, he "made a pact with death - a pact of blood." On the day of Sergei and Tatyana's wedding, Strahd murdered his brother and pursued the grieving Tatyana until she flung herself from the walls of Ravenloft. Strahd himself was shot down by the arrows of the castle guard. Even so, he did not die, but went on to rule the land of Barovia as a vampire.

Seeking interested parties to play in the vein (pardon the pun) of Ravenloft, as shown in the I, Strahd book. Pulling from other Ravenloft material is fine but the character I will be playing is that of Tatyana in her reincarnated or original forms.

I would love toplay off a Strahd who had not yet turned and was still seeking to woo her. I see plenty of passion and darkness playable in this plot.

The nasty English take delight in raping the countess and turning her into an army camp whore. They hide her presence and identity robbing her of her noble blood protection and privileges. The nasty English are bent are getting her to reveal the secret treasure vault which she refuses to do and they try to influence her and break her spirit. With her life at risk for being revealed as a French spy she is caught in an awful mess.

Looking for two players for 'Pole Position'

Hi!

We're looking to recruit a couple of players, preferably female, although a guy would be considered for the mechanic's role.

We have recently lost a couple of players, due to personal circumstances, whose roles were instrumental to the thread.

The roles were:
Kendra Wade, female racing driver.
John Freeman, ace engine builder and mechanic.

As the players have left, these names can be changed, to introduce new characters, although the roles need to stay the same, really, for the thread to work.

As this reflects a female driver's racing formula, responses from women will receive a more favourable decision. (Although the right guy would be welcome, as a mechanic, or other suitable role - good suggestions will be considered!)

There may be scope for more than one mechanic, too, so guys, don't be too disheartened!

Passions Retreat

Demi (played by myself) has inherited a resort, and upon arrival discover that the guests expect "extra" services here, and that the staff is happy to oblige. My best friend Beth (played by Pywakit) has accompanied me to my newest endeavor, and will be my partner in the business.

In order for the thread to flow, we really need a female head housekeeper!! Interested in those who can write several sentences in each post, and post a few times a week at least. (And, who assumably would be willing to write some bi-interest parts.)

Dragon Riders - OOC and casting call thread. Based on the movie Eragon (which is based on a series of books); we'll do our own take. Seeking still a few key players, including:

Arya - f, probably in her 20s. Starts out a captive of the Shade. She is rescued by Eragon and his dragon Saphira.

Durza - m, part of the Shade and in control of Arya in the beginning. (He's an evil dude. Not certain of his age, assumed to be older than the rest most likely.... 40s/50s or such.) Assumedly very controlling... let's not go with violent rapes, but some forced activity would be fitting for his role.


These two, plus any other females especially which wish to join. (Males will be welcome as well, but I'm wanting to make sure there's enough fair skin to go around....)
Some ideas:
any evil characters you wish to invent
pixies, fairies, and the like
dragons - you'll need to invent these and make them fit in the story.
There's a link to the Wiki article in the thread; the plot isn't difficult to read, and you'll have a great idea after only the first paragraph or two. No need to read further, as we'll stray from that story line quite a bit most likely. Just a basis is all it is....
