I saw this thread, and have enjoyed all the lovely sentiments by everyone. Thank you for providing a spot for your friends to express their deepest emotions.
I am often riding that rollercoater between up and downs, so I can empathize with those who feel pain, fear, or sadness.
At one point in my life, I wrote this. I never posted it because I didn't know exactly where it'd fit in,so I am sharing it with you all today.

As We Lay

Together my love and I lay,
One arm above my head under her pillow,
The other draped just around her hip,
As she clinches my hand tightly,
Awakened by the crack of sunlight,
Happiness once again,
Because another day I awake next to my love!
Slowly I ease close to her,
Rising my head just enough,
I placed a kiss on her cheek,
Followed by a second on her neck’s back.
The muscles in her cheeks tightened,
As a smile slowly rose upon her face,
Followed by shiver that made the bed shake.
Can you feel as my love and I lay?
Her skin smooth as silk,
I slowly smooth my hand down her spine,
As goose bumps slowly arise on her skin,
I press my body closer to hers,
So that I may share my warmth with her,
As we lay.
